Is it still worth it all the way to Ampang to eat yong tau foo?

Madras lane YTF is the best. I can have it everyday.

Ampang one, YUCK... small, dry, old.... expensive. can skip.

Really? Foong foong you mean? I know their price sky rocketed. But the ytf is quite big leh. Also I like it because of the hakka version with salted fish

1.80 now... very very nice. always have queue, and mostly take away. if wanna sit down, need to order drinks. the place has curry mee, chee cheong fun DLL.

one time I pick up a box full of yong taw foo from there and sent to one chinese datuk at klcc area

he gave me rm 20 tips

delivery fee is rm20, plus rm20 tips, so untung

There is one YTF in Puchong that has salted fish added. It is the used-to-be-popular YTF shop near the former Bintang supermarket. I think the dad is gone, left his dotter to handle.
It used to be very popular until there is another famous YTF fro Batu 10 set up shop at BK3. Compared to the Bt3, this old shop wins hands down. Their steamed kembung sambal is addictive and their site fry sweet potato leaves is v v tender and has the taste of lard. Worth a try.

Anyway, I long for the authentic YTF where the filling is minced pork rather than fish. Can get this in Shenzhen and sureounding areas.
