yes...main flaw bout this lens the first time i tried it out was the AF precision and the sound god damn!!! it sounded like some bird stuck it there being squashed tongue.gif i dunno why but the AF is not really accurate...tend to take time to fine tune then only it will stop smile.gif but its still a very good lens...esp when the VR kicks in...very obvious difference smile.gif
*
hey congratulation on ur new lense...
i used to hav one...BUT i dun hav the sound problem as u...it seem quite to me...even wif d VR on hmm.gif
anyway...it is most VALUE worth lense imho...sharp n good bokeh thumbup.gif
here's wat i've taken previously:

IMHO that's sharp but the cars and the dividers have distracting bokeh. That thing near the red divider is quite 'geli' too.
*
i guess tat's not a good sample tongue.gif
but i dun really mind coz i dun focus on d OOF area whistling.gif haha

nothing...
juz that the effective focal length will be multiplied by 1.5...
so a 24-70 is effectively 36-105 on dx cam...wink.gif

QUOTE(zaidi @ Apr 23 2008, 10:57 AM)
I just got the D80 18-135 kit lense, work well with my trusty d40, and most importantly super fast!

it's noticeably faster than d40 kit lens. I cancelled getting 55-200 VR and got this baby at Rm720.

go and try it
*
18-135 is a good travel lense too...ofcoz d most ideal is d 18-200 VR brows.gif
for d price...i think worth it... nod.gif
ofcoz u lose tat extra reach (200mm) and more crucial the VR wink.gif

i heard tat d IQ is abit slack for this lense (18-135)...any comment other sifu?
