Hi all, I live in a normal terrace house (24x70), facing 15 deg. North, and I plan to install an AC in my living room (ground floor). I don't think I need an inverter type because it will only be used when we have guests coming, or when it is extremely hot during day time.
For an area this size, my questions are:
1. Would 1.5 HP enough? 2. Is inverter relevant here? 3. Which brand and model is best for my case?
My priorities are reliability (less break down), and effective (it really cools down the area).
An extra note: We will install solar panels in the coming week.

Ok note: 2 HP non inverter. One more thing: should I go for the wall type not the ceiling type?

QUOTE(mushigen @ Aug 17 2024, 10:31 AM) Do you have plaster ceiling with sufficient depth to install the cassette aircon? Don't have plaster ceiling, just the bare ceiling.

QUOTE(mushigen @ Aug 17 2024, 10:37 AM) Are you referring to this ceiling type of Aircon? If yes, I think it will be ugly if not concealed by false ceiling. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yeah that's what I meant. My ceiling is also not very high, I think I'll stick to the wall type la.

Thanks all sifus so far. Now comes the question on brand and model. I used Panasonic and they are ok, but lately I their reputation is not that good seems that their quality goes down. Mitsubishi is mentioned quite a few times on other threads, plus Acson, Daikin, and some Chinese brands. Any recommendations?
