The left lane on the Bridge which is part of PLUS is the motorcycle lane ..there is even a sign board on the bridge that says this ..

Technically, motobodo salah because misusing the emergency lane. Again, no such thing as motorcycle lane unless clearly designated like on federal highway. Just use 1st lane like civilised people. But cannot help also since many driving school instructors keep perpetuating such idiotic notion. Keretabodo yang dengki sila overtake like civilised people.

Edit: Penang bridge retarded design for either not having a dedicated motorcycle lane or a dedicated emergency lane.

Many things could have been done to avoid this accident:

1. moto shouldn't undercut
2. moto shouldn't abuse emergency lane
3. car should have made sure left side is totally clear before committing the turn

everytime i go on the bridge, there will always be people who stop on those enclaves TO TAKE PHOTOS.

so my 1st guess when I see that perfectly rolling car swerving impatiently to get onto such enclave is to stop for photos.

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO STOP ON THE PENANG BRIDGE, EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCIES.
I guess Penangites and authorities are fed up with the jam and nuisance caused by brainless "tourists".
(yes, Penang-plate numbers also stops for photos. Especially group motobodos.)
