hello. i need some help and understanding.
i want to ask. if a laptop is a i5 1235U processor with a 16gb Single SODIMM.
Can i unlock or upgrade the UHD graphics to a IRIS XE by just adding another 16 GB RAM ( or 8GB RAM ) to another slot running a dual channel mode?
Is there any possibility here?
i came across the internet that this is capable.
Can any sifu assist?

Some laptops only have single slot memory (without any onboard memory) Not worth doing IMO as even with dual channel RAM the Intel iGPUs are too slow for gaming anyway

Doesn't really matter since Intel Graphics aint really that powerful
However, the act of installing more ram to make it dual channel WILL improve the experience in general as the CPU gets access to dual channel ram

I ran into the same question when I was looking at my own laptop’s graphics. Adding more RAM can definitely help with overall system performance, but it won’t change the integrated GPU from UHD to Iris XE. The GPU is part of the processor and can’t be upgraded separately. If you’re looking for better graphics, you might want to consider a laptop with a dedicated GPU or check out models with better integrated graphics.

iGPU is bundled with the CPU
You need to change the CPU to change the iGPU but if the CPU is soldered don't bother
