Can check out SmartTube, it's a client like Vanced, but with it's own UI, I think it may have the features you want

Yeah, just look at the lagging UI even on expensive Android/Google TV, makes my blood boil. Paying 5k for a TV with subpar Android experience. Tried mibox is slightly faster but ultimately still subpar. As much as people said Tizen is limited, but the UI fluidity is something Android is struggling to match. The only benefit of Android TV is when you want good SQ, you can attach a usb dac. Other than that, nah, Android/Google TV sucks.

i am not sure why are you facing issue with Google TV.
My experience with android TV is superb. Not only the built in support that are decently good as delivered. Google TV allow you to sideload apk
Which i have compile a iptv much better thatnmost tv box offer, if you are using mibox comparision with google tv i think is unfair
Then you use Tizen os with android is again bias Tizen is a sub os comparable to android.
Perhap, something is missing is your device or something may not have went well.
To put a general comparision is uncalled for.

You are mostly looking at it from the software side of things. Did I complain anything about Google/Android TV not working? No... what Im complaining is the hardware that powered most of these Google TV are severely lacking in performance, lagging UI. What is it that you dont get? Using Mibox as comparison to Google TV is unfair? Im merely using a Mibox2 as comparison whereas my Sony X90J is just a 3 years old product IINM.

Tizen is a sub os? What is the problem when the hardware Samsung included with the TV is more than capable of offering a smoother and fluid experience compare to most Android TV? Android is flexible, yes but the whole experience sucks with the included hardware.

Same SmartTube also don't have function to search within channel.Have to go to browser search then share to youtube vanced.

Samsung/Google TV low Hardware and lack of optimize in OS
Tizen , Mibox higher Hardware but adding another layer UI on ASOP which make it lag.

Conclusion , if just youtube eveything is fine but for extra 4K browser , multi task , gaming , 4-6GB RAM are needed.
Most manufacturer go for Allwinner , Amlogic , Rockchip , Realtek which is a cheap processor and knowing buyer just using a single apps doesn't need high capabilities like mediatek or SD.
Except for nvidia shield using Tegra.

Depends on need , if really got $ 2k = Apple TV.

For me I just need an android box can install vanced , a decent smooth browser for 1080p , bluetooth , mirror screen and just 2 USB port can power up 2.5 HDD.
Any suggestion ? I don't mind 2nd hand since normal watching tv .
