Hi all. I'm getting my Canon 350D very soon (if God willing). I just thought maybe I would just post some photos I've taken with my friend's Canon 350D. These photos are taken from my work place. Not too much as my boss was not too happy about me taking the pictures and yes, you guessed it. I'm a teacher. biggrin.gif

All pictures are taken using Canon 350D with the kit lens attached.

A scene from the roleplay.

I'll post more when I've finally gotten my own 350D. But now... I need some constructive comments (though my subjects may not be as interesting). smile.gif

Thank you!

Hi orenzai and goregrinder, actually all the photos are taken from the children's level except picture 1 and 3. Maybe I failed to make it look like it. sad.gif

Maybe I'm still trying to get use to the camera weight. I guess that explains the blurness. I just got myself a 400D yesterday. I hope I'll get used to it pretty soon. I'll post pictures later.

Thanks for all your feedback. smile.gif

hi hi, remember to set to a high shutter speed possible since your subjects tend to move alot. In indoor conditions like that, it means you are going to need Fast lens or High ISO speeds to maintain a fast shutter. Alternatively, use bounced flash (because i don't want to be firing direct flashes at kids). But be careful when going down to their level because taller kids or adults could peer from the sides and damage their eye sight if you bounce

I had a silly experience where i composed a shot really low without peering into the viewfinder (i.e, stomach level) and forgot the flash unit was bouncing off to my face directly. (Fortunately i was looking to the front, not below to the flash unit)

without any kind of image stabilization, i guess u need to use faster shutter speed and with higher iso (indoors).

super steady shot? *hint* brows.gif

Hi CutieLynette, when taking photos of children, zoom in and shoot their facial expression. Shooting a group of children requires extreme skill in composition so that the photos won't looks cluttered and busy.

Yea, noticed that now. Since they move around alot, I had a tough time trying to photograph them. Thanks for the heads up! smile.gif

Added on November 22, 2007, 1:33 amHere's some pictures I took at my cousin's wedding last week. It might not be as nice as others, but I hope I'll improve in time.

All pictures are taken just with my Canon 400D kit only and are all shot with ISO 1600. I can't afford a speedlite yet! cry.gif

Pictures are Photoshop'ed (Curves and resize only)

There's one thing I noticed after editing the pictures is that while the pictures looked good on my laptop (where I edited them), they looked underexposed on my desktop! I'm having a real headache about this, any pointers?

You don't need Spyder. Just Google up 'monitor calibration' and you will get some decent online way.
