Pantheon Ventures Whatsapp group scam is now in Malaysia.

This is a professional scammer group with large amount of workers.

First, you will be invited to an investment group, a teacher and an assistant will approach you to give free lessons. They will share some stock trading tips which would make you gain profit if you followed. They will also register you to join the 1 hour online trading class every Sunday to Thursday for free.

The members of the whatsapp group are very active, they will share their daily life photos and do a lot of discussions of trading. Their profile pictures are visible and some are not, just like normal whatsapp group. Some group members will pm you personally to make friends with you, they will act like they are newbie and they have bad experiences in stock trading, they also scare to be scammed, comforting you that you're not the only new guy. They will even form a small group and invite you in, to protect each other.

In the online class, teacher will analyze the latest market trend and start selling their market profit plan to the students. The students in the online class are very active, it is not pre-recorded video, it is a live class and whatever you type in the class, teacher will give feedback.

Once you've joined for certain days, teacher will start persuading students to follow her/his plan, to invest in the global market which can get higher return. She/He will invite a so-called partner platform for student to download which can be found in Apple Apps Store and Google Play Store, not sending you an unknown link to download.

After downloading the apps, register successfully, the customer service will request for video call for verification. Everything looks proper and professional.

There are many functions in the apps like Block Trades, AI Trading Funds, IPO subscription and etc, like normal investment apps, you need to deposit the money to your apps wallet before you start trading. The apps mirroring the real market index, everything you trade is following the market index, everything like real until the time you withdraw the money.

When withdrawal gets problem, you will start asking your friends in the group, you will found, all of them can only be reached through whatsapp, their phone numbers are all not in service or unreachable. You're the only real person in the study group among 100++ of members, including your teacher and assistant.




Here some tips to avoid scammer trap:-
1. Do not download any unknown apps even it can be found in Apple Apps Store or Google Play Store, there must be something suspicious of the apps like zero comment or newly published.
2. Check the account number given before deposit any amount of money, Malaysia government have given plenty of websites for Malaysian to check the validity of bank account.
3. If the beneficiary account is weird, like personal account or sdn bhd or enterprise which is not related. Stop bank in the money!
4. If you have successfully withdrawn some small amount of money, and the money is from non-related company, this is a scam.
5. Check your whatsapp group member's phone number one by one, especially those talkative and very active. If their number is not reachable, quit the group immediately.
6. Call 997 (only Malaysia) to reach out to the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) within 24 hours if you suspect you have fallen victim to a scam. If you’ve banked in the money to the scammer and you were lucky reading this thread within 24hr, 20% of chance u can chase back your money.

yes..i got this invite from Instagram. Managed to get their gift during the class lucky draw.
when i did not download and activate the apps, i got kicked out from group.
Then, a fella from the same group approached me and try to help pull me back to the group.

i'm currently in one of the whatsapp group. quite interesting just to see their modus operandi in action. best of all, the fella who invited me called me first , claiming to be related to M+ investment before adding me.

MUAR: A 44-year-old woman lost RM1.45mil after being duped into investing in the Macau Scam.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the victim, a real estate agent, came across an overseas investment scheme on Facebook in May this year.

"The victim was attracted to the scheme offering a good return of investment," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Aug 21).

ACP Raiz Mukhliz said upon expressing her interest, the victim was added to a WhatsApp group for Pantheon Ventures investment scheme.

"Between June 14 and Aug 13, she made transactions to five bank accounts," he said.

He said the victim made a profit of RM25,000 but when she wished to withdraw the principal fund of RM1.45mil, her request was turned down given reasons that she had yet to settle an outstanding investment money and failed to follow the regulations.

"The victim lodged a police report on Tuesday (Aug 20) after realising she was cheated," said ACP Raiz Mukhliz, adding the case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.

ACP Raiz Mukhliz advised the public to always check with http://ccid.rmp.gov.my/semakmule to verify if the investment scheme is connected to any fraud cases.

The public can also contact the CCID Scam Response Centre at 03-2610 1599.

i was invited into a whatsapp group too. first started as stock market group and then now slowly moving into gold trading with MT5 trading platform. This app is downloadable via apple store, google play. First the admin say will give out free trial of MT5 with free demo account.

There is a lot of student in the group and mostly are active with highly praise the teacher in the group for his accurate prediction. then the teacher offer a "100% Profit Package" for a month. A lot more student invest and earn big money from it and highly praise the teacher for his prediction.

After a month, the teacher offer some sort of corporation

basically in the early day the teacher give out stock market tips, accurate and i made some profit from it. but this is done using my own trading account
but when they move into gold trading and using MT5 software, i got suspicious although the students claims to earn money each time by following the teacher's prediction. a lot screenshot of earning profit start from small amount to bigger amount USD1000. I didn't cross check their buy and sell price wit the market.
then next a lot student wants to follow and join this so called cooperation by banking into a enterprise company current account for review 30 min before it will appear into the MT5 account..
This got me more curious as i deal with trading apps - moomoo etc and never have to do such transfer.

Wise of you to do so. Most times it's some signal that puts people off. It's easy to know unless one is blinded by greed.

Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the victim, a 47-year-old unemployed man, received a call on April 17 this year from an individual claiming to be from a so-called 'Malacca Security Bank Investment'.

"The caller coaxed the victim into investing through an equity company named Pantheon Ventures, based in the United Kingdom. The victim was instructed to download the NEEQ application and was provided with online training on how to make investments using the system.

"The victim made 10 transactions amounting to RM348,500 into the bank account provided by the bogus investment agent between June 18 and Aug 10 this year. The victim realised he had been cheated when the agent demanded RM101,000 if he no longer wished to be part of the investment scheme," he said in a statement today.

and yes, one of two member did private message me about their fear or doubt. saying they are doubtful of this group, yada yada yada.. just to fish me out when i didnt responded much to their messages.

how do you know they are real. you can buy bots. and it's very easy to pinpoint out..

if you got entered such group, quickly leave, or if you are brain smart, just be quiet and watch. the chat will die down eventually when the whole scheme collapses.

Yes. I knew its a scam from the start, but I also know that they want big fishes. So I enter as small fish, deposit the money that i can afford to lose. Monitor awhile and exit when I can. Yes I am able to withdraw all as my amount is small. Below 15k. Others had deposited 500-1million (not sure if its real). I am assuming that I am a small fish so they allow me to exit because they want more from the big fishes.

I believe when the scam matures then its about time for them to cheat everyone money and repeat it elsewhere. Many will still fall for it.

Scammers will scam until water tap is dry.. But in this case I think it's the guy stated above.. Someone leaked info and affected their modus operandi.
