Only certain semicon co are paying about that price, majority do not. Most factory in penang are kiamsiap af, they always look at previous drawn and try to cheapskate as much as possible.

I just don't get it. Why just don't use tpm as it is half-empty and mimos is there. Hope it is not another property market play.

We have established semicon industries in Penang. Why not build on that??

Our politicians always do things against own advantage n dabble in social engineering then wonder why we cant be as big n successful as others

we are talking about frontend IC design here. not the more typical A&T semicon sector. learn the difference.

indeed frontend semicon has more lucrative salary than backend semicon. that's why Malaysia is aiming to climb up the value chain rather than stuck at where we are today.

semicon in Penang is mainly backend A&T and manufacturing. and some frontend IC design. since frontend IC design just need office space and not a factory. hence, it can be had anywhere easier. give choice to prospective employees rather than forcing everyone to Penang.
