I'm not sure if I should get a Pixel 9 or an 8 for half the price. The hardware is kinda meh for the price they're asking besides the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Most of the AI features is coming to older models anyway.

Just sharing to fellow UM users. I've emailed them regarding VoWifi/LTE support on this phone. See how. The 15GB free roaming in 63 countries is something I can't live without so far.

You tested Spigen glass with the ultrasonic FP sensor, ok or not? I realised with TG, the ultrasonic usually doesn't perform that fast, same thing with my Samsung last time. Gotta go for Ringke dual wing film or the likes.

Today I seem to be getting better 5G reception. Same places yesterday 4G but today 5G, and it was consistent. I will need to monitor and test further.

Hi can share why Ugreen is bad? I have been using it for my Samsung, Iphone, and Switch Oled. So far without any problems but I don't want to face problems in the future.

I did try Nillkin tempered glass screen protector for my Pixel 4 & 5 previously. They perform well for the low price point.

I don't see any user reviews for this Spigen glass tempered protector yet but i'll be on the look out. I already placed an order for it on Lazada while waiting for my Pixel 9 Pro to arrive end of Sept.

The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor present on the Pixel 9 which is the using the same Snapdragon ultrasonic finger print sensor from the Samsung S24 should be able to perform well with both glass and film protectors since it is using sound instead of the optical light fingerprint sensor on the Pixel 6 - 8 series.


The Pixel 9 pro & pro XL variants charge up to 27watts and 37watts by cable. Using a 65watt charger will mean it will only pull 30 ~ 30 watts at most during the first 30mins and subsequently draw lower watts to top up the remaining % battery.

I suggest you try Anker 65watt (suitable to charge the phone and laptop via USB C) or 33watt brick models which is a quality brand:

Finally arrived ... But dun want to open it yet, wanna wait until my case arrives from CN ... don't want to repeat the same mistake as my current phone, accidentally dropped it on day 1 ...

Now I got 4 pcs tempered glass, 2 from each brand.
But my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is not coming yet. 😅

Good or not, no idea, I just simply pick from TaoBao with good review. 😅
