Tried with Doom Eternal 4K with RT, still playable with everything set to low, the whole thing is much better than my old R7 6800HS lappy
16GB and i could not even launch the game at 480p.

cooling wise this console is up 2 or 3 notch better than lenovo lappy, it cool much faster
of course i know the lappy wasnt meant for gaming,
Battery wise, game such as Doom Eternal glupping the juice very fast, low wattage charger could not keep up with the battery draining speed.
100W or original charger is still recommended

Now i'm testing with my Dell U2723qe USB-C 100W charging speed.

Too expensive... 7800M cost like 1K USD... it's not rip-off then i dont know what else it is
also too troublesome, and expensive, i'd rather get ROG Flow lol

So which handheld did you buy
ROG ALLY XBOX X? Or Legion Go 2?

Xbox Ally X, I went to store got the feels of the Legion several times, i have to say it's pretty well built and thick, the thing probably can soak up heat pretty well
but it was too big.
Since Shopee seller offer next day shipping so I just grabbed the ROG without second thought, but dang it's wider than legion lol.
I've been secretly asus fan for sometimes.

Also for the Doom Eternal, RT cannot be played smoothly without enable some graphic cheat aka dynamic resolution lol.
Just stick with 1080p for now.

After a week of usage, i have to say, I'm impressed with the performance of the x86 console, The Z2 extreme despite having hybrid 3 p and 5 c cores,
It certainly performs better than my old lappy, Tried messing around with AFMF, for my main game it worked perfectly, typical frame-gen smearing and blurring artifacts can be seen during game, which is expected and it's sign the frame-gen is working.

Also for CP2077, can run fine with 1440p@low, again with AFMF.
anything above that the system will not be able to cope.

Some old game does not work with frame-gen, eg Crysis 2, smearing heavily and too much artifacts, will have to fine tune the settings

Benefit more if u have PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Still using my Ally X [2024] and battery health 92% after 1 year usage (today marks 1y22d)
