Rare stuff, but I've never liked maple fingerboards, even the 550DY (the 20th/reissue are seriously overpriced too). It's sad to think back that the 5xx series used to be quite affordable and was considered mid-range back in the 80s/90s. But now, they are marketed as the prestige model range which I think is kinda out of most of the hobbyist guitarist's budget. Good instrument, but just too expensive for most people.

As a result we have to compromise and make to with MIK, MIIndo and MIC stuff.
