The foam is designed for this and it will not expand or contract in future. The problem is what are they planning to do with the holes. I wonder why they drill on the wood. This probably not common practice.

this is standard practice to inject expanding foam into hollow wood frame.

Wrong info, the door frame is actually aluminium. So less worry on moisture and warping. However, the foam concrete doesn't solve the hoolow sound issue and now left owth unsighly holes (yet to be covered with putty and painted over)
