Thanks SEP910 for promoting my thread...

Just got another iPhone for my wife. Stuck alittle on the unlock process cos i was not focus... then need to do a firmware restore... 1.1.1 firmware is 152MB... Then when restoring hit the 1064 restore error.... thought i got it bricked... Luckily after reinstalling iTunes and restarting my computer then can restore... After that... unlock successful... now my wife is also a happy iPhone owner.

hey guys i got a problem....i am using the 1.1.1 version and i found out tat many software cannot support tis version for example like ibus and ibrick.....should i downgrade it?

if we brick the phone by accident , means its not usable already or we can just reinstall the firm ware to begin on unlocking again?

Two possibilities... either you did skipped a step like I did on the second iphone or the iphone has been unlocked before. My touch function was really lagging when i run anysim twice (silly me!)... Then i force it to restore mode and did a restore with 1.1.1... then only unlock again...

If you are a windows user you can use winSCP to hack into your system and put anything... its like a windows explorer. You just need to do some connection thinggy then only you can enter to the system directory of iPhone and add files... Once you are connected... just need to drag the files from windows to your iPhone.

You will have to revirginise it back to 1.0.2 cos the AnySIM screwed the baseband during 1.0.2 unlock... Then only you upgrade to 1.1.1 and then use this guide... http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11833 ...IMPORTANT... follow step by step without fail!

Hey can someone recommend a case for the iphone -- i need something that can slip on that flips open, yet also allows me to charge the phone without taking it out of the case.

I was going to get the case-mate flip but i have heard that the interior leather scratches (!!) the phone...still looking around.
