Well it cost less because it's not a burner (yet). I think if it has the burning capability of the Blu-ray drive the cost will be much the same. Whatever happens, I don't think it's feasible for us to own any of the drive for the next 2 years. I for one will stick with my tried and tested obselete 4GB capasity DVDs and it's RM2499, not $2499.

and if not for both maker are at each other's throat, that kind of drive is easily sellable.
