why does a job interview need your a photocopy of my IC, and latest payslip anyway?

my previous interview also never ask for me IC

if they decide to hire me yes
but before 1st interview already request IC, that's a very clear intention to resell your information already

they don't need to photocopy of IC to do background check bro
they already have the number when i go interview and fill in their application form

don't trust them big or small
if you ask me, the bigger the company..the more likely they're collecting information for resell purposes
the smaller one has lesser chance but can't completely rule it out

basically selling your info away

meanwhile spying on your husband/wife doesn't even need their photocopy IC as well
meanwhile check CTOS also don't need photocopy IC
meanwhile u go bank to do any business these days, they also don't need your photocopy IC already(except public bank), they just need your IC, plug it in and verify your thumbprint

but you go interview, it's actually normal to provide photocopy IC
funny how malaysian and certain people is right now...and then when keep receiving spam call/SMS, they blame everybody else but themselves

few question for u to ask yourself before u reply anyone

1. yes, there is a different between needing IC to do over the counter banking matter and having them photocopy your IC...it's 2 totally different thing altogether
2. how do you know they're legit and using your IC for legit reasons?...can you 100% guarantee that?
3. how do you know they're gonna hire you at the end....i notice people send 50 applications, 48 prolly won't even reply you...you're gonna send 50 photocopy IC to all applications and deem all to be legit?
4. if they reply can you come interview next tuesday at 10AM and request u to send them a photocopy of your IC...thn when you reach there, it doesn't exist thn how?

that's why on my 1st post in this thread i've said very clearly...if they decide to hire me, i'll give them my IC/photocopy IC, i'm not sending anybody my photocopy IC in interview stage...that's dangerous AF
