Yeah, I feel contract phones not so worth it also. My last contract phone was iPhone 5s.

For a 16PM 256GB RM5999 & one line of Digi Prepaid Kuning RM25, if bought using EPP, I calculate as:
For 24mths EPP: RM249.96/month + RM25.00/month = RM274.96/month
For 36mths EPP: RM166.64/month + RM25.00/month = RM191.64/month

• of course, prepaid no additional 6%.
• Postpaid usually unlimited data? Mine is only 30GB though currently it's 50GB due to monthly freebies.
• adding supplementary lines may decrease the overall average per line for postpaid.
• prepaid topup free credits will decrease the prepaid cost. So far this year, already have approx RM35 free credit.
• postpaid may have an advantage for roaming. I don't roam much so not sure.
• Prepaid data may be speed capped though currently there's no cap for Digi Kuning.

back to old time , there is really less good plan for postpaid , i remember last time when im using celcom , those rm40-50 have very limited data capped , so direct buy the iphone with RM98 plan get unlimited data unlimited call with HUGE discount up to RM1k++ if not mistaken .....

but recently postpaid very competitive , i last year just change my RM98 (4g unlimited) to RM40 plan (40gb+20gb 4/5G connection for 1 year subscription) total 60gb and unlimited call , 60gb for me really more than enough because most of the time i using Wifi at home/office......
then now Switch offer EPP 0% installment , there is no brain why dont directly do 36 month if ur CC allow , u take that ur spare money in your bank acc RM5999 and put in FD 3.7% x 3 year and get return of RM660    , then take ur salary to pay the EPP RM166.64 per month !!!

If directly paying cash then u cant earn the RM660 interest    , i can get my iphone 16pm with Rm5999 + RM660 of return if using EPP

Digi no longer has the constant 10% extra that they had last year. Now have to wait for Box of Surprise offers which is not guaranteed but sometimes can get reload 100 get 20, 50 get 7.50, all sorts of combination.

Indeed, I feel the same for Natural Titanium! Im comtemplating between Black titanium and natural titanium!

My physical SIM is used for my corporate line and if I were to change to an eSIM I would need company’s letter which I’m so lazy to manage. So let it be for now. Go overseas I will take out corporate SIM if I’m not on business trips.
