Anyone using AmazingThing's tempered glass? I feel that it doesn't cover enough on the screen edges. I wonder if others are the same?
Not too sure if it's like that for most other tempered glass due to the thinner/narrower bezels. This post has been edited by OKLY: Sep 21 2024, 02:54 PM |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Sep 21 2024, 03:37 PM) sokaylah being rich idiot better than poor idiot. Myself upgrade 3/4 years then daughter complain 4yrs (X to 13 Pro) is too long for me to pass her the old phone. 😅 Passing down to family members will need to upgrade within 1-2 years so everyone in the family chain will be happy. |

QUOTE(izart @ Sep 21 2024, 03:53 PM) Last year also the rumors base iphone will start at 256gb and non-pro lineup will get 120hz. A year later, we still have 128gb and 60hz. From the first rumour add about 3 years, that's about the correct timeline when it will realistically happen. celciuz liked this post

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Sep 21 2024, 06:56 PM) I got my bundle from switch which is the essential bundle thing that has Belkin charger , lamina anti reflective screen protector, and a clear case of choice . What's wrong with the case from Uniq?I chose the uniq hybrid case. Kinda not liking it after using a day. |

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Sep 21 2024, 07:07 PM) Some sides of the plastic kinda relatively sharper. Only notice when using the phone more. Like near the volume button area cutouts. I'm using their Clario case, seems okay. You might want to try contacting them, might be able to get a replacement.I think it’s at places where the soft plastic meets hard plastic seams |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Sep 24 2024, 09:38 AM) In my own opinion , i guess it is because some full temp glass will have so call "HALO EFFECT" at the edge , so company want to avoid this kind of halo effect and build with black frame to cover it up? Is it just me or the black frame does quite often eat into some of the screen, at least this is what I notice for my AmazingThing tempered glass. They didn’t want to extend out so much on the edges. But so far i using brand like Smart Devil / Ibywind / itietie without HALO effect anymore beside that , i really dunno why they put the black frame on the TG ![]() |

QUOTE(emilyngsc @ Sep 26 2024, 08:35 AM) QUOTE(dreamthief @ Sep 26 2024, 08:53 AM) People are nitpicking. Belkin ultraglass also same bezels from side view. Macrumors you can see Torres, Belkin threads, Cut outs not good, rainbow effect but it’s fine. Same goes with my AmazingThing tempered glass. I believe most if not all are like this at the moment. Hopefully in a new batch of production, most of these brands will be able to redesign their glass better. For now, I’ll use it until it doesn’t feel so smooth, then change to a new one hoping it’ll have a better fit by then.To me a non issue but you do own research and decide. 🙂 |

QUOTE(prabjit93 @ Sep 26 2024, 11:02 AM) QUOTE(prabjit93 @ Sep 26 2024, 11:08 AM) People always want the latest flagship colour to that series. Also the Natural Titanium was iPhone 15 Pro’s flagship colour, so those upgrading from 15 most likely won’t choose the same colour for the 16 as well. |

What’s a good reasonable priced tempered glass that has a good cutout and doesn’t block the edges of the screen?

QUOTE(BuKeYi @ Jun 6 2025, 04:22 PM) I'm using Spigen one, good cutout and fit nicely. I'm using one from AmazingThing and it has those black border edges on the glass. The cutout isn't precise enough and the black borders actually cover a bit of the actual display.not sure what do you mean block the edges of the screen, the casing that I used so far didn't have any issue with it. come with 2 packs Btw, from 13PM I already using the same one. As I'm happy with the price and it didn't block the visibility of the screen, and it is easy to install as well. |
