IMHO, that one had a good balance of battery life…. Compared to my 15Pro

probably will skip this version and aim for 17, 16 probably is the enhanced version of 15

Main reason I decided to upgrade because of the current iPhone 15 pro overheat problem and also the chip limitation on future upgrade related to AI. This phone simply not future proof enough to my liking. So an enhanced and more refined version of iPhone 15 pro is definitely a YES for me.

Not to mentioned improved in camera too Pro Max too big in my hand and I dislike Apple put a more inferior telephonic camera on the iPhone 15 pro. At least in iPhone 16 Pro, both Max and Pro version will using same camera, i feel much better

Hopefully you see a good justification from my reasoning to upgrade

Actually, the more you put it that way, the lesser my resistance is ... damn it bro....

I have both the 15 Pro (and I don't like the overheating problem too, but I'll reserve my comments until the 16 Pro comes out) and the 15 Pro Max (hardly used, still BNIB, it's my Aussie number phone), so I'll probably keep the 15 Pro Max and trade the 15 Pro in when the 16 Pro comes out (but will do so only after all the gremlins are sorted out, and the sales are on).

Yea, i will keep the S23U too, because so far I am pretty satisfied with the S23U as my entertainment phone. So, I don't really need another big phone like Pro Max.

The overheating issue has been a big bummer to me, it gave me the impression that Apple was rushing to release a titanium phone without properly tested it. A half-baked phone... which is why you see iPhone 15 pro's values dropped like crazy even in Malaysia market.

That is why I often had this bad impression on them whenever they released their product the 1st time on something new, always screw up somewhere and can't be resolved by software updates.

So, the only solution will be upgrade the phone

I bought my 15 Pro & Pro Max recently, probably 2 or 3 months ago ... and every time I get a new phone, I have to go thru the hassle of re-activating all my digital banking tokens and re-entering the pairing to my Porsches (yes, yes, 1st world problems I know, but the Porsche App is especially finicky and requires me to login and verify my data via a laptop, before I can link my cars to my new phone). It's really a hassle and a half... that thought alone is probably enough to keep my weakening resolve from crumbling entirely ... but we will have to wait and see, I guess...

Yea, have to wait and see and then see which one frustrated you the most. From what I see, you can keep iPhone 16 Pro long term and those set up will be the one time set up until years to come

And that's ONLY if the 16 Pro fixes all the flaws that the 15 Pro has, and more... honestly, iPhones are now taking the track Audi did with their cars ... different lengths of the same sausage. They all look the same, the features are minimally incremental and the price is, well, we all know Apple.

Literally, I haven't signed up for a plan before and I prefer buying my phone directly from the Apple Store.

Despite the fact that my health battery is still at 85% and there are no issues, the condition of the battery is degrading to a certain extent.

iPhone 15 pro lineup like boast their capability of running Resident Evil 4 remake & Death stranding but actually the FPS like not so good also.
Then normal 15 does not benefit USB 3.x speed, heck =.=

I think the biggest issue is that with ever more powerful chips, the battery life, no matter how dense the cells are repositioned, will drain faster than slower models. My waifu's 15 (not Pro) outlasts my 15 Pro...

Totally agree with what you said. That is why it does not really excites me anymore but more on providing me the best experience and convenience to my day to day life.

And yes I also plan to go buy iPhone at apple store just to experience it
