That's likely because their homegrown brands have become much more capable.
I was in Guangzhou few weeks ago, can see a lot of Huawei phones, especially the Tri-Fold XT.

Anyway back to iPhone 16, I still find the camera lacking for macro shots when compared to IP13PM (Where I'm upgrading from). The minimum focal distance is really a let down.

For shooting food shots I prefer Wide Angle lens over UWA. UWA lens produces a bit mushy and noisy images.
On the iPhone 13, the Wide Angle lens lets you get very close to the subject, capturing sharp detail.
iPhone 16 no longer possible and have to resort to 2x for better clarity photo at the expense of resolution.

Yes, Macro will resort to UWA by default. I turn it off since I find it lacking in details in low light situations.
Wide Angle = Fusion camera yes.

Although the MP is 12/24, I find there's not much cropping allowance compared to the one from IP13PM.

I've been to few Apple store. Everytime also crowded, except Thai's Apple Store at Central World. Last month was there, literally only like 5 people looking at iPhone 16 @ 12pm. brows.gif

Maybank CS also quite responsive.

I told him my debit card cannot add to Apple Pay. Call at 2pm, he say will check and ask me to try again at 3.30pm. Voila! Can add already.

Sometime the resellers offer discount on battery replacement for iPhone. I'll wait for those. Can get up to RM 100 cheaper sometimes.
