QUOTE(redevil @ Jul 17 2024, 01:03 PM) I think Mazda has changed it during one of their major services. But recently I have stopped doing my service at Mazda center. So, when I asked around about this, I get answers like this. Looks I like I need to change the oil. Mazda sell it as seal for life atf. Never change atf if follow sc. My old waja automatic only doing atf change every 40k km by outside workshop, it still working great to 300k km, only lost it to theft, my buddies Toyota Corolla Seg, 550k km also regular atf change only. But my dad old w210 had this jerkiness gear for gear 4-5 and resolved after perform atf flushing, until let go of it for w211 long time ago This post has been edited by ayamxxx: Jul 21 2024, 10:52 AM

QUOTE(littlefire @ Jul 17 2024, 04:33 PM) Easy said, if your AT oil did not change frequently like every 50~60k your internal gearbox mostly already wear a lot. Since you mentioned 260k on meter now, if long time no change like over 100k no touch the gearbox oil until now, you might got 50% chance of gearbox got issue after fresh AT oil change, as the new AT oil will make your gearbox felt even more obvious of the wear & tear if long time neglect. Suggest ts to send workshop that can do ATF flushing instead, using those machines. Hopefully this over run atf to 260k km dont do hardware damaged yet.

Actually AT flushing just make it worse, as the debris might dislodge and stuck in important areas like bodyvalve if force flush. Previously one of my favorite mechanic also got 1 AT flush machine, after few car use and encounter the weakness already ditch the machine at the side. Like some member feedback, the safetest way maybe change 50% of AT oil first, shorten the oil change intervals until 100%. I believe that will be the lowest risk.
