Getting Started

Hello everyone, I'm facing challenges with my condo unit renovation under a strata title. Initially, I submitted my renovation plan to the condo management, and it was approved. However, complaints arose regarding improper hacking of two internal walls, which were part of my approved plan and confirmed not to affect the structure by the condo management office. Now, I've been asked to submit the renovation plan to MBPJ for approval. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Will MBPJ approve such renovation works, especially in a condo setting? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hai, went to MBPJ today to submit few terrace submission. Did ask about your condo situation .You need to come to MBPj kawalan bangunan and submit your proposal. Its condo strata title. Owner have to be responsible on the unit itself thus consultant or PSP cannot involve on the submission. owner have to come and submit -under permit kerja kecil.
please bring 1) latest payment assessment tax 2) latest payment cukai petak -(parcel rent tax) 3) Sales and purchased agreement 4) Grant 5) Picture of your condo unit. and showing area what you are planning to do 6) Approval letter of the said renovation works by the condo management 7) condo layout showing which area affected or want to renovate..
The wall on your situation- ask the management to confirm on drawings and letter stating the wall is not a load bearing wall / not affected main structure buildings. See what the officer say... but to add new wall or partition not sure they allow or not because Example for DBKL COB last year 2023 issue out No new additional wall or partition is allowed for strata title type of development... strata landed ok... service apartment or SOHO cannot...
hope this help
