Hi just wondering if I plan to upgrade from kapcai 150cc to bigger one, which cc i should go first. Is it 250cc or higher? If I take 250 cc, no need to upgrade license. But if I go higher cc, need to upgrade license to B Full. Im thinking of going to below 500 cc. 500 cc above I scared. To powerful later I cannot control.

Go bfull terus, later in life when busy, no time to upgrade.

I no experience riding bike, only driving. "Power" is not in my worry list as it is controlled by user throttle input. Im sure you do better.

Either go for cheap used bike, like dominar400 v1, or attend training class then decide. whats your budget?

Around 15k - 25k

Im thinking of getting Honda CB250R, but at the same time might considering other. Only that I afraid I cannot handle the power and struggle with the handling.

Motorcycle that on my list
1) Honda CB250R - Smaller CC, like the design
2) Dominar D400 - Cheapest, but touring motor
3) KTM 390 Duke - Aggresive Look, But Quite Expensive
4) Honda CB650R - Design that I like, but too powerful

Think you may want to specify your usage pattern and budget.

For usage, this bike will be my daily ride to work and weekend bike. I still keeping my kapcai, maybe for going to pasar malam or going nearby.

I dont want too fast, but its suitable as daily ride. Can cilok bit during heavy jam. And can go ride on the weekend. Naked bike is my preference. Budget around 15k - 25k. Might go 30k as well. depends on what bike.

Considering Im from KL need to travel to Klang for my work. And sometimes need to going back to KL for meeting. Maybe around 50km distance.

True story. A young lady went from RS150 kapchai straight to 1200 Harley. If she can do it...

Hopefully it is a clutch kapchai. If not get 1.
Ride it until you outgrown it and by then you will have figured it out.

EX5 - KTM Duke 250 - CB650R - Tracer 9GT

Size of your body and condition is more important if you ask me. I'm tall so when i got my B full and bought the CB650R, it doesnt suit me and ended up selling is less than 3 months old. Also i had back issue so the Tracer as a adventure tourer and its big suits me just nice

For my size, im 173 cm height and 100 kg weight. If motorcycle that too small, it might not suitable for me. I went to motorcycle shop few days back to test my sitting position. But they recommended CF MOTO CLX250, DOMINAR D250 and Yamaha MT250

I suggest don’t go for China brand. Quality and resale value is terrible
*
Based on the shop suggestion actually Im keen for KTM motorcycle. But this shop they dont have stock, hence reconmending another bike. I went to Gs cycle.

Maybe after deep research and consideration, I might go with naked bike. KTM Duke 250 consider its price and availability. If duke 250 dont have stock, maybe duke 200 lah.

They reason why I choose 250 cc because I not planning to renew to B Full for time being, considering I dont plan to upgrade to larger bike for now.

For my kapchai, i will use it as daily ride nearby. To groceries store, to pasar malam, to mamak shop. Bring my kids go taman.

I used to own a KTM Duke 250. Quality is equally bad, 1st week new bike, wiring harness cut somewhere had to send back to factory to stripped whole bike to redo whole wiring. Maintenance cost is also expensive as much as big bikes

Woww thanks for the input bro. I didn't know that. Tbh

How about scooter?

More relax riding

I suggest test ride xmax 250

*
I planned for scooter as well actually. But that one not for daily ride to work la. Just for my family, when go nearby. I did not plan to keep my Honda RS. I want to let go of it and just get 125cc scooter. Maybe vario.

If you ask me, I also like design and feature of Honda ADV160 and SYM Husky. But xmax not a bad bike as well.

Later I got 2 scooter 😂 if I purchase 250cc scooter.

My wife sure scold me. Why soo many scooter leh? One not enough 🤣

Daily bike, 250cc more than enuf.
I would get the MT25.
*
yes i agree with this. i maintain ride 250cc then slowly increase cc. speed is demon. so u go too fast and your risk much higher. Even i ride kapcai oso wont go too fast

unless you are planning to bring your wife for ride, keeping L for B full a year is just RM 120.
then you can make B full license at PS samy at kkb for about RM 700, you can ask about it at their branch in batu caves.

renewing license is all online now anyways so theres no hassle.
get that er6/z650
*
in future yes. Thanks bro for recommending.
Just get the L first, why not. cheap summore. later go to class brows.gif tongue.gif

Avoid the CFMOTO 250 platform, the engine is old, jerky piece of junk and they're releasing a two cylinders 250 soon.

No wonder they keep pushing for Cf moto. Maybe lot of commision selling those bike.
