2025 Update:
It seems that TIME is killing off the TIME Voice App
This might stop working soon? We'll have to see if that IP goes down

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=111334608

Guide on setting up TIME Fiber VoIP on other devices
Inspired by Anime4000's guides

With this, you can use any of your other devices to make and receive calls as if you were using the Time Voice app
May be useful for those using their own replacement ONU

Note, Guide written with Huawei HG8145X6 as your original modem/router and using MicroSIP in mind:
Note, this assumes you have telecomadmin access to said Huawei modem/router
Note, you may need to enable TIME Voice App(?)
Note, only for educational purposes, I take no responsibility for any issues that may arise from following this

Phone Number:
Your Phone Number, use as Username in MicroSIP
This can be obtained by going to Advanced -> Voice -> VoIP Basic -> Registration User Name
CODE
eg: 0311223344

Username:
Username, use as Login in MicroSIP
This can be obtained by going to Advanced -> Voice -> VoIP Basic -> Authentication User Name
CODE
8 character username, with lower and uppercase letters, and also numbers

Password:
This one is a bit of a pain to obtain, see info further in thread
CODE
16 character password, with lower and uppercase letters, and also numbers

SIP Server:
Note: This IP was obtained from TIME Voice Mobile app, as the server proxy used by the modem is in an internal 10.X.X.X IP range and doesn't work outside of it
CODE
223.28.6.132:9060

Codec:
CODE

1. G.711 A-Law
2. G.711 u-Law
3. G.729

Your MicroSIP config should look like this
Attached Image

some other optional configurations that could be set but I didn't and didn't face issues
DTMF Method: RFC2833
Register Refresh: 3600
Digitmap: [xABCD].S|[xABCD].#
User Agent (of TIME Voice App): Time Voice/5.5 (build 1820065; Android 13; arm64-v8a)

Password Guide:
Firstly, export config file from Advanced -> Maintenance Diagnosis -> Configuration File Management -> Download Configuration File
open the file and search for AuthPassword
find one with your phone number / username near it
the encrypted password should begin and end with $
then, visit https://andreluis034.github.io/huawei-utility-page/#cipher
Paste it in, and it will output your VOIP password

I have something to supplement.

You can do it this way if you have additional lines.

I did try to ask nicely from customer service, but they refused to give and keep say "please use Time Voice app. Thank You". Now I am going to teach them the hard way for their arrogance.

1. Install HTTP Toolkit in your computer
2. Launch Android AVD with root access. (Go google and find out how). Install Time Voice App by using ADB
3. Connect HTTP Toolkit to that AVD as shown below

user posted image
4. Now use that AVD and import the QR code generated in self-service page
5. Follow the guided instructions to setup those permissions.
6. Go to left hand corner. press and hold. You will see a page where you can change your password.
7. Do not click anything, then click save
8. The APP will do the SIP registration again.
9. Go back to HTTP toolkit and look for the request sip/register.
10. The username and password are in the payload.

However, OLT is the easiest way. You will need the above method if you have two lines, since ONT only has one POTS port. They refused to add the additional voice line even though is technically possible to do so. So, I am going to do it the hard way.

Here's the catch. Please read properly.

1. Please ensure you get successful SIP registration in the first 2 attempts, otherwise the username and password will get reset where you will lose access to both your phone lines connected to ONT and Time Voice App.

2. Only one call at one time when registering using the details (including SIP server) from the above method.
After that you will need to reset and generate a new QR code again. You only have 6 tries.

3. Only one call at a time using the sip server obtain from the above-mentioned steps.

is the voip still working from today onwards? Mine hasn't been able to call out since mid-March stating error code 403 Payment Required both on Time Voice App and 3rd party client

But incoming call still works fine oddly

It seems mine stop working on the day before yesterday. The SIP response is returning 401. Plugging in back the phone to ONU doesn't work either

I am still able to register, but I did notice my credentials got changed once

maybe try and wait and see if your ONU gets new credentials pushed to it, or ask TIME to reset

They didn't push it to my ONU because I was using SFP stick... Even switched back also didn't push

Called and ask for new credentials, they denied resetting and don't want to give

After escalation (I posted in social media XHS and said TIME disconnect my phone line on purpose despite bills are paid causing automated alert calls cannot be made) because they discourage DIY and home lab projects, they admitted they did the reset on purpose because some of their staffs are not happy after reading my blog post herehere (Since the voice app has been decommission, any existing registration is treated as a security risk to them so they forcefully disconnect them by resetting the password. ). They already provided me the new password and authentication details via another secure channel.
