The NASA program was to send 12 people to the moon from 69 to 72. There were 7 mission Apollo 11 to Apollo 17 including one failed mission which is Apollo 13. Public interest faded fast after Apollo 13 thus you never heard much about the rest. So except for the failed one, the rest got astronauts landing on the moon.

How did astronauts get through the Van Allen radiation belt?
Van Allen radiation belt - Wikipedia
The Apollo missions minimised hazards for astronauts by sending spacecraft at high speeds through the thinner areas of the upper belts, bypassing inner belts completely, except for the Apollo 14 mission where the spacecraft traveled through the heart of the trapped radiation belts.

so?

How long does it take to pass through the Van Allen radiation belt?
52 minutes
NASA determined that a spacecraft could travel through the radiation belts in 52 minutes with exposure of only 13 rads, based upon Van Allen's findings. This was determined to be well below the OSHA threshold and considered to be completely harmless.
