Nissan still make up ~5% of total sinkie car population.
https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltagov/w...ars_by_make.pdf In 2023, % of new registration ~4.3% - ~1300 cars. So not many. BYD exceed that ~1500. Biggest still Toyota & Benz. https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltagov/w...ars_by_make.pdf 90% of Sinkie car population are cars from only 3 countries (Germany, Korea & Japan which is still number 1). But sinkie small market. This post has been edited by takbodoh722: Jun 27 2024, 09:51 AM |

QUOTE(takbodoh722 @ Jun 27 2024, 09:51 AM) Nissan still make up ~5% of total sinkie car population. Compared to Toyota and Honda, Nissan sales in Singapore are really bad.https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltagov/w...ars_by_make.pdf In 2023, % of new registration ~4.3% - ~1300 cars. So not many. QUOTE(Bill888 @ Jun 27 2024, 07:12 AM) Even the Nissan old cars better than their new cars, what say you?? Nissan has deviated from their old philosophy of making quality and reliable cars. In the 80s and 90s they were good but by the late 90s they were falling behind in design and technology and were struggling financiallyThen in 99 Renault bought half the company. Their next generation of cars in the early 2000s were designed in partnership with Renault and were a lot more modern and a good value but had some reliability issues especially with the jatco cvt yhtan liked this post

QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Jun 27 2024, 10:40 AM) In 1999, Renault acquired a 36.8% stake in Nissan. This significant investment played a crucial role in Nissan's restructuring and recovery during that time.In 1999, Nissan was facing significant financial difficulties, and Renault's decision to acquire a large stake in Nissan helped stabilize the company and prevent potential bankruptcy. Without Renault's intervention, Nissan might not have survived the financial crisis it faced at that time. |
