Below is my unfinish guitar design. Ergonomically not reliable. Just trying to play around with 3K effect shader. Rendered in Max5.1, Brazil 1.0.3. Bout 2-3 hrs on my P42.8, 512mb RAM.

The floor suppose to looks like kinda fabric, but I'm not good enuf to put fabric feel by modelling skills.

No lah...
It's for dictating how light falls off the cloth, giving it a soft fabric feel

If you want to learn 3dsMax,I really suggest you to go to:
http://www.onnovanbraam.com/.

It can help you to understand many modelling technique/methods,from Spline modelling[Which I was learn for now],Polymodelling[box, edges, vertex],how to get a right mix to your colour & many more........

hi guys...just an idea to get things going on and exciting...how about we make a weekly 3d modelling challange...maybe modelling based on a theme?...this can be very inspiring and help anyone improve their skill, share ideas/design/techniques, build their portfolio and stuff...by modelling a common theme, it's easier to give feedback and c&c since we're working on similar thing...so how about it? love to hear what you guys think...
