Resurrecting an old thread to showcase my latest work.

Running around 50-60fps on Mi Mix 2s.
Will add options to change vehicle color, interior trim and sport rims later.

nice!! how many polygon is that? using unreal engine?

Around 1.5M. Can be reduced to almost half if planar reflection is disabled.
Using UE4.22 as of right now.

I might change the surrounding area to other scene with less reflection to increase performance.

woww..1.5m but ur phone is quite powerful with Andreno 630..its even more powerful than last gen console 360/ps3

i worked with Codemasters malaysia before during Dirt 2/Grid games..if im not mistaken its around 100k per car but they have like 6 steps of LOD

True, mobile phone now catching up with ps3 level. If you might have noticed, the game that you've worked on - Grid is now available on iOS and the graphical fidelity is superb.

Now I'm trying to match that quality, by working closely with a racing sim company to port their game for Android.

That merc demo is actually just a testing level for shader and post process only haha. Need to test new feature, optimization and stability on each engine version.

Hi Guys,

Im getting a laptop to replace my workstation due to company movement for Agile workplace. Any recommendation on laptop that can run Unreal Engine/ Unity/ 3D max rendering?

Preferable with at least below spec or higher:

AMD/ Intel

Processor with 12/16 core or Higher
Ram 32GB or Higher
SSD 1TB or Higher
Display Full HD or Higher
Workstation Graphics Card
3.5 Audio Jack

Non Apple Product biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance and sorry if Im in the wrong section.

Cheers!

With those specs, you might want to customize your own laptop.
Check out Illegear Malaysia, they make custom laptop that can fit desktop CPU & GPU. But be warned of the massive price and weight though.

On the other hand, mITX attached to a monitor is also an option. I can help setup a custom water-cooled rig if you want.

Made a real-time walk through of an interior space.
Rendered in real-time using Unreal Engine 4, with VR-ready version.

Amazing work! how long does it take you to do this?

Only took less than a week to complete the scene, but need 2 days to get the VR version to work properly. The source file is fairly optimised so there's little to do with cleanups.
