BR Capital is a debt fundraising and investing platform that facilitates both listed and unlisted small to mid-sized companies tapping into a new pool of capital outside of the traditional wholesale markets. We offer a new avenue and greater flexibility to these companies looking to raise funds as well as providing previously untapped fixed income investment (mid-market debt) opportunities to investors.

BR Capital was incorporated on 27 December 2022, with Bursa Malaysia Berhad holding a 51% equity interest and RAM Holdings Berhad holding the remaining 49% equity interest.

I just got an email about this. Has anyone heard about it before? Anyone signed up yet?

Please share your thoughts about it and if this is worth considering amid the plethora of investment options we have today.

In their FAQ, they mention this is P2P lending.

https://brc.bursamalaysia.com/investor

Basically you put in money in the platform and they lend to startups or SMEs for their business use. Sometimes these businesses can't get conventional financing options. This is TLDR version that I understand; maybe some sifu can share any other things behind this.

Usually comes with high dividends around 6 to 8%. During covid i saw a few P2P platform but obviously i was a bit unconvinced.

Since this platform is backed by Bursa and SC,maybe is a bit safer

Withdrawal take 3 working days to credit $$$ into your bank account (minus banks fee, tax etc.)...

1 lot = rm100

Initial deposit to trust account is via DuitNow or IBG (receipt copy need to send as proof of payment)

Anyone already subscribed

Which one is offered now at their platform...
I mean which start up company is there in the list...

From there, can somehow guess the quality of the offering or their target

Apparently they have a new campaign:

Project Everest - Tranche 1
The Issuer proposes to issue a 3-year Investment Note with an indicative profit rate of 7.0% p.a. to partially fund its working capital and capital expansion requirements in relation to the assembly contracts with Great Wall Motor Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“GWM”) and BAIC International Development Co., Ltd. (“BAIC”). The Issuer has been appointed by GWM and BAIC to manufacture and assemble right-hand drive vehicles for local and export markets. The Issuer intends to build a RM100 million state-of-the-art Completely Knocked Down (CKD) facility in Melaka to be developed in phases to scale up its manufacturing and assembly operations dedicated to energy efficient vehicles and electric vehicles. The overall development is poised to create around 1,000 new job opportunities in the state. The Issuer intends to raise RM20 million through BR Capital for Phase 1 of the development, with the 1st tranche of up to RM5.0 million

it's not new, it went live on 26/08/24 and not fully subscribed to-date (3year 7% p.a.)
in contrast, the self-service laundry project (2year 7.65% p.a.) fully subscribed within a few hours

The lastest Project Everest - Tranche 1 seems promisable, as the based company is a listed company and the Note is R3 Ram rating, just bet some money in to test water...

Btw, min is RM100, min 3% admin fees or RM500 max.
Just create an account with BR Capital, after having account will have more information to see

Attached is an image of their current campaign portfolio which personally I think is good as based on the current EV development in Malaysia, this is for the outsourced manufacturing based in Melaka. Although the return is only 7% per annum, but it is safe for low risk appetite investors like me...the closing of this campaign is on 9th October 2024

Since Tranche 1 funding for this project isn't completely grabbed up, I wounder if they are going to have Tranche 2 with higher yields.

So investor’s capital is safe and the payout is guaranteed for the duration of the tenure?
No risk at all?
