Just received an pdrm saman today for not able to show valid driving license. Need help on
1. Is it need to go to court ?
2. Checked online on mybayar pdrm already there and pay 300

Can advice?

No MyJPJ app

Since paid saman d then keep proof and no need attend court d. If need attend they will come send letter ask u attend wan.

iinm no valid license is not compoundable (payable) so if u can pay it at mybayar then u can pay and no need attend court.

If cannot pay at mybayar then need to attend court.

Was reading a few forums also saying if cannot pay online then only need to attend court, correct to say that? How to see the saman whether it is compound or not compound?

In mybayar if it shows button "pay" or something like that then it is compoundable. If no button then cannot pay

U mean forgot to bring? By right pulis can radio to opis to get it checked out.

I checked at jpj website they got list of compounds.

Apparently latest info is license and telefon use is compoundable. So you just lay rm300 and off u go unless u want appeal.

Why they still issue saman if your license is not expired?

Transport Minister Anthony Loke, however, said in a set of frequently asked questions (FAQ) that downloading the app is not mandatory, and that drivers who cannot produce the digitised road tax or licence will not be summoned as long as payment for renewal has been made.

Motorists will not be summoned for failing to show the digital version, Loke said, adding that enforcement officers will be able to verify details on the system using special devices.

i can assure u, driving without a valid license falls in the non compoundable category.
this means that u hav to attend court, & the minimum fined is RM300 onwards.
dun dont worry, going to court is not that scary, just troublesome only.
u'll hav to waste 1 day of leave, go there early to get number & queue.

anyway, if u guilty, just plea guilty & judge will likely just slap u wit a minimum fine (provided first offense).
unless u got a case to make, for example, myjpj app crash, phone data not working at that time, etc ........

anyway, recently i also got stopped by police for routine check.
i bought my ic, but no my license.
i use myjpj app, but forgot logins cuz after not using the app for long period of time, it will auto log u out.
but the police was kind enough, we see me just chill, not suspicious, he just ask me, "betul ade renew license?".
which to i answer "mestilah".
then he tell me jalan.

Huh when did they u-turn? I just kena use phone saman few months ago non compoundable.

Just checked the pdf it is 2022 bro. I dont think it is the latest one.

Is that for anyone that renewed recently or digitally? Mine was renewed about 4 years ago so it should appear in myjpj too?

I kinda remembered this announcement as well.

But this is Malaysia. Official announcements and reality are 2 different things.

Mine was physically renewed in 2022 and shows up in myjpj but without photo

wait a minute. story does not make sense at all.

1. JPJ no longer issue driving license CARD by default.

2. even pre-existing licence is already viewable in MyJPJ. You don't even have to renew before it starts appearing.

3. If you attempt to renew driving licence now in MyJPJ, it will present you option of digital-only (RM25/yr), and for renewal slip version (RM30/yr).

4. If you walk-in, it is still renewal slip, not full-fledged card complete with your photo id.

5. There was news clip few months prior, this year, that those who want a (full-fledged?) CARD version like how we used to have(?), you need to walk-in and present proof why you need one, and have to pay for it getting issued. Like, travel ticket, visa, etc. Thisnis what I remembered briefly from that news clip, so take this point with bags of salt.

SO WHY IS IT POSSIBLE FOR TS TO BE COMPOUNDED FOR FORGETTING TO BRING ALONG DRIVING LICENCE CARD THAT WEREN'T EVEN ISSUED ANYMORE IN THE FIRST PLACE?

THERE IS EVEN DIGITAL EQUIVALENCE FOR IT.

WHICH IS PART OF THE REASON WHY IT WAS CONVERTED TO DIGITAL; ENFORCEMENT IS SUPPOSED TO CHECK, REAL-TIME.

myJPJ (previously web-only) always have licence and road tax and grant and compounds and insurance info based on IC.

the new MyJPJ app just makes it even more convenient to "carry" digital version of the licence and road tax info.
you don't even need to renew for it to start showing your existing info.
and by having the existing info shown, you can straight away choose to extend both licence and road tax.

Sorry sorry forgot to mention im expat from indonesia.which cannot register in myjpj without ic. Have indonesia driving license but they say not valid(showing soft copy)though reading somewhere asean country still valid.guess just have to go to the court, stay humble

I renewed mine in 2021 at post office and it appears normally (with photo) in myJPJ app.

Why was the saman issued? Your license expired?

Or you didn’t have the license physically with you? For this, I thought they need to check on myJPJ themselves and a physical license is no longer a requirement?

Just install the MyJPJ app and check your licence there. Easy.

Lel it force me to input the driver license serial number when im trying to register the app.
Funny it able to detect my name after input IC but must input driver license serial number.

SEA driving license is valid, from what I remember
maybe just that need to be hardcopy and not digital

akin to the case where msian driving in Thai but with soft copy license were being fined as well

probably as countermeasure against anyone pretend registering myJPJ on your behalf.

when i registered myJPJ (back when it's web-only), have to walk-in over counter to get "OTP" that's only valid for a length of time.
