i can assure u, driving without a valid license falls in the non compoundable category.
this means that u hav to attend court, & the minimum fined is RM300 onwards.
dun dont worry, going to court is not that scary, just troublesome only.
u'll hav to waste 1 day of leave, go there early to get number & queue.

anyway, if u guilty, just plea guilty & judge will likely just slap u wit a minimum fine (provided first offense).
unless u got a case to make, for example, myjpj app crash, phone data not working at that time, etc ........

anyway, recently i also got stopped by police for routine check.
i bought my ic, but no my license.
i use myjpj app, but forgot logins cuz after not using the app for long period of time, it will auto log u out.
but the police was kind enough, we see me just chill, not suspicious, he just ask me, "betul ade renew license?".
which to i answer "mestilah".
then he tell me jalan.
