I am still using the 8800GT till today I think this card can still push a few more years.. wonder what is today's equivalent to the 8800GT? I mean the best value for money GC

i encounter the problem before...and it seem like artifact...i RMA it..when it come back it replace all my memory chip

This card can't handle Metro 2033 @ 1080p DX9 Lowest settings That includes the overclock. Unplayable FPS in combat...

yeap, but it's 8800 Ultra / 8800 GTX ... it owns the market for like 2.5~3 years.. which is totally crazy...

I bet Metro 2033 needs a better card to run at.
If just physx,it;s not a big problem for 8800GT to run at.
But the power consumption is a problem.

really ? i'm 88GT owner too , the game hvn install yet ,by the way , i'm playing sc2 still lagging while meddle high setting , still using AMD dual core

8800gt is the best card from nvidia ever in term of peformance and price ... proc performance also take part to achive good fps...if not ur proc will bottleneck with ur gc... last time i can play mass effect with 8800gt with high setting using amd 7750be oc a bit

More like CPU limited IMHO. L4D2 runs like a champ ingame max settings for me. Blizzard never has high graphics requirements, the game still uses DX9.0b if i recall correctly.

Maybe time to upgrade to better processor..
Or oc the proc to get rid of the bottleneck prob..

Its not just the hardware.
Does depend on the engine the game is running on too.

L4D2 runs on the old-as-hell Source engine which still works well till this day (yea, props to Valve for that), so in human language it'll be funny if not one of today's mid-range cards can run the game at max settings.

Its also the minimum requirement card that can go 3D

Try running CO4 in full settings can run how many frames
