The Galaxy uses "Samsung" memory modules which are more overclockable than the "Qimonda". Previously I did a vMem mod and hence able to overclock/bench at those memory clock speed. For now, I have removed the mod and running 2040Mhz daily for games without problems Those RAMs are hot. I didn't change any memory timings.

Which card is more OC'able? the 8800GT or 8800GTS? i know the GTS has a couple more shaders but they're both from the same die right? which card can be OC'ed faster?

Why not? If the driver was to use the card fully, it would cause more heat... Or some other issue with the driver.
