Any Malaysian expat in bangkok which I can seek your opinion

1. What is the cost of living in Bangkok compare to KL? Getting mix feedback from Google but majority stated Bangkok cost of living is 20% to 30% higher then KL

2. What is the job prospect for someone with general degree, don't speak thai and limited management experience?

3. Is their quality of education in international school (primary) good?

Worked before in BKK myself (not within BTS reach area)

1. Generally the cost of living is lower than KL if we're comparing apple to apple area.

Rental:
You can get a decent studio condo to rent for 5000-15000 baht/month, depending on the area (BTS factor, etc).
- the one I stated above is a small studio, between 23sqm to 30sqm
- parking is on a first come first serve basis, so this can be a tiring nightmare if you always work late / come back at night.

Food:
- there are meals between 30-50 baht, but it might not look hygene to you, so this will depend on your preference.
- Milktea can go as low as 25baht per cup hehehe, cheap2

Vehicle
- generally much cheaper than Malaysia

Fuel
- bloody hell expensive if you compare to our 2.05/l R95. Thailand will be close to RM4.50-RM5.00/L of RON95

Groceries
- generally grocery prices are similar, but do aim for products/goods that is manufactured/produced in Thailand, they are way more friendly for the pocket (tips: Zebra)

BIGGEST POSSIBLE INCREASE IN COST
Drinking water
- I don't know why, but I was discouraged from drinking pipe water by my teammates. thus end up hoarding lots of drinking water, especially sales time.

Visa extension, work permit, etc
- There is a really big cost involved in processing of all these, you need to prepare 15000-20000 baht, all unless your company is sponsoring all.

Is their train reliable?

Might need to rent further away from city center as I need to have a bigger house due to bring along my spouse and child

Train as in the old trains? I would say they are not really relable but better than our KTM that can breakdown 6hours without replacement (experience this back in 2010)
if you;re talking about BTS, those are super reliable

Driving is a breeze here, generally the people are more tolerable than hothead Malaysian, but a BIG WARNING - DO NOT HONK UNLESS REALLY NECESSARY (opposite of Indonesia & China driving). However the jam on rush over into BKK Metropolitan is really bad, better than Jakarta but maybe slightly worse than KL
