Was wondering are there any more brands besides Alphinestars and Dainese ones?

Am thinking about at least a vest or perhaps jacket.

I am aiming for those which has neck, back and tail support. Not electronic.
So far Hit-Air and Helite are very favorable candidates. Premium investment though.

Some brand does not ship to MY because of the compress air canister.

Was researching air bags after my accident a few years ago. If I am not mistaken Welly Batu Caves might have the Helite air bag jacket but did not get it as they have limited sizes. Thinking of Hit-Air but that is another bulky thing to wear over the already bulky motorcycle jacket.

I called them and they still have "jacket" in display. Old Hit-Air stock I guess.
Helite not found in Malaysia yet, if i am not mistaken.

I guess if you are wearing the airbag vest, you can ditch the back and chest armour of the jacket slimming it down. But my beef is the back will get really hot since typically airbag vests don't be to late very well.

Normally they use these generic type, where u can diy replace.
So it is possible to ask them to exclude if ship by air la.
Nowadays many forwarders can help ship, just need $$$...

Ya man, i thought of that too.

But OCD in me, just refuse to use something that is not part of the package.

If it does deploy, you will need to replace it yourself that's wht the manufacturer said, unless you want to bring it back to the shop and gets charged $$$ for just plug n play + generic parts cost.

Cause at impact, the rider remains close to the bike.

This is where alpinestar claims their system will work..

i guess every system has it pros and cons.

of course DIY to replace but the cannister ought to come from/recommended manufacturer. Just not going to Shoppee or elsewhere to purchase a generic one. But this is just me.

Take Helite for example, they dont make/ manufacture those co2 cartridge, just slap the sticker on it.

These co2 is used for various purposes like filling bicycle tyres etc.

Even if i bring it back to shop, i belief the shop will jz buy cheaper cartridge and charge a premium.
