Tuduh UiTM 'Apartheid', Andrew Sia akan dipanggil polis


Kuala Lumpur: Polis akan memanggil kolumnis, Andrew Sia dalam masa terdekat bagi dirakam percakapan berhubung penulisannya yang mendakwa Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) mengamalkan sistem 'Apartheid'.

Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain berkata, siasatan sedang dijalankan dan individu terbabit akan dipanggil dalam masa terdekat bagi dirakam percakapan.

Menurutnya, semakan kepada portal sedang dibuat bagi memanggil pengarang terbabit memberi keterangan untuk membantu siasatan.

"Setakat ini sebanyak 38 laporan polis diterima di seluruh negara berhubung isu ini," katanya ketika dihubungi Harian Metro tadi.


Beliau berkata, kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 504 Kanun Keseksaan, Seksyen 14 Akta Kesalahan Kecil 1955 dan Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi Multimedia 1988.

Harian Metro semalam melaporkan polis sudah membuka kertas siasatan ke atas kolumnis, Andrew Sia berhubung penulisannya yang mendakwa UiTM mengamalkan sistem 'Apartheid'.

Andrew Sia dalam tulisannya "Our Apartheid Academy, UiTM" di sebuah portal mengkritik tindakan pelajar UiTM yang memakai baju hitam baru-baru ini bagi membantah tindakan untuk membuka kemasukan pelajar bukan Bumiputera.

Sebelum itu, bantahan tercetus selepas UiTM secara sementara bersetuju membuka program latihan teknikal pakar jantung parralel pathway kepada pegawai perubatan bukan Bumiputera.

Semalam, Jawatankuasa Naib Canselor dan Rektor Universiti Awam (JKNCR UA) yang terdiri daripada 20 Naib Canselor dan Rektor Universiti Awam Malaysia menyokong pendirian Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) untuk kekal berpegang kepada Akta UiTM 1976 (Akta 173) dan Perkara 153 Perlembagaan Persekutuan.

Justeru, JKNCR UA menyelar tindakan pihak yang sengaja membangkitkan isu kemasukan pelajar bukan Bumiputera ke UiTM dengan melabel IPT itu sebagai 'akademi aparteid'.

Don't know but every time "their" kes viral sure have the sentence "menerima 100+ laporan dari seluruh negara"

Those who reported you in this forum, their identities are withheld from the person who opened the topic/thread (TS).

Why only side one side? You report you must also reveal yourself who you are to TS, like that not fair if a person has lots of dupes everyday he choose to bomb someone with reports continuously and gets away with it how?

Report must work 2 ways to be fair, if you kena reported you have the right to defend yourself by counter reporting the person who reported you if you think that you've been "framed". Why allow the reporter to get away while you kena investigated for nothing by being framed?
