QUOTE(stevenlee @ Jun 12 2024, 02:26 PM) hmm.. i read online but still cannot get it how to buy ipo... haha A quick suggestion, mean no harm.i try to be part time trader and play for fun ... plan to get this IPO and sell after making certain profit If you are "trying" to be a part time trader & "play for fun". I would suggest that you don't do so until you do demo trade / paper trades to confirm that you won't lose a huge amount of money that you are not prepared to lose. Many "traders" say that they are okay to lose money, until the moment when they buy into active stocks and actually lose 5-10% within minutes or hours. Because based on your comment, you don't even know the difference between nominee account / CDS account. Indicating that you MIGHT be lacking in investing or trading knowledge. In this case, its very likely that you will lose money even in the Bursa. I would suggest you to keep the hard earned money, and try out the IPO portion which you are currently interested in if you are really keen and die die must trade. In order for you to apply for IPO, you'll need: 1. CDS account - You can look for accounts like Moomoo / M+ / Bank linked investment platforms. 2. Bank account - CIMB / Maybank will do just fine, you will apply your IPO there. 3. Cash - All IPO is subscribed (or attempted so) with cash, no loans, no margins. How to: Once you obtain and activate your CDS account (be sure it is visible in Bursanow), then you will apply from your online banking account - select the IPO + the amounts you want, then you will key in your CDS details. Results will usually be out a few days after the closing date. For you to find out whether you succeed or not, easiest way is to see if your money gets refunded. Good luck. PGV3910 liked this post

Whereas for UUE, seems promising, but after I dig through the company / director details, something seems abit unexplainable to me.
What exact relationship between KOMASI and the main director? It seems that many of the directors are ex-KOMASI; and their major customer is also KOMASI. Not to mention that their dependence on major customer is very big. Almost more than 75% of their total revenue is dependent on 3 or 4 major customers. But what I do like is how they plan to utilize the proceeds, none goes to paying borrowing, and the details of the purchases are seemingly tally and within market rate of purchase. This allows them to enter the recently or going to be resolved cabotage situation here in Malaysia for land-sea cables. Of course, this is the discussion for the long run. If you just plan to hoot IPO then sell on listing then these won't matter to you. Still long before closing date can discuss / think think. |

QUOTE(sadukarzz @ Jun 14 2024, 09:20 AM) Yeah, that makes me wonder, if many director is ex-KOMASI Actually if you are that interested, you should research further by reading the prospectus in more details. answer is there.Would this be a bane or boon for UUE? Seems like subcon can be easily replaced if the relationship isn't as good since its considered somewhat down-down stream UUE specialises in horizontal directional drilling (HDD). they can also do the open-cut method (korek, lay the pipe, then close back), but this is not their main focus. they got exclusive agreement with Komasi+Sutera Alam for HDD works. so these main cons go tender for jobs from TNB, then the HDD portion of the job must subcontract out to UUE relationship is more symbiotic rather than boss-kuli (main con-sub con) relationship la |

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Jun 14 2024, 09:57 AM) Actually if you are that interested, you should research further by reading the prospectus in more details. answer is there. Already did, hence these subjective questions are those couldn't be found from the prospectus.UUE specialises in horizontal directional drilling (HDD). they can also do the open-cut method (korek, lay the pipe, then close back), but this is not their main focus. they got exclusive agreement with Komasi+Sutera Alam for HDD works. so these main cons go tender for jobs from TNB, then the HDD portion of the job must subcontract out to UUE relationship is more symbiotic rather than boss-kuli (main con-sub con) relationship la Even went deeper to check KOMASI history, not relatively updated. Yes they have exclusive agreement, but these agreements can be terminated. Not just KOMASI, but with sutera too. With so much at stake, what has been done to protect the relationship? As an prospective investor, you won't be satisfied with "our long relationship with KOMASI will be the best relationship shield". Of course, there is alot of uncertainty and also subjective factors. Therefore, this is what I believe a forum is meant for discussion. |
