before i started working, they sent me to the hospital opposite pizzahut in TTDI.
- check eyesight
- check weight (say i overweight lah... as usual  rolleyes.gif )
- check urine (to see if i'm a drug addict ??)
- x-ray

and that's all i can remember. Definately didn't check blood, cos checking blood is
expensive. Not sure bout the rates tho for the checkup cos company paid.

what a joke.

A full general checkup has to include both urinalysis and a full blood test.

If you are above 50, they will even test your blood for prostate/breast cancer markers.

I also got for this type of check-up yearly, mostly to see cholesterol and glucose level. The test doesn't cover all, just the more common tests. You can request for additional if you want.

You have to differentiate between clinical tests and blood exams which require the doctor to take your blood sample to a lab for testing.

Clinical tests

1. Vitals
BP, pulse, heart rate, respiratory rate

2. Physical Examination
Abdominal Exam
Respiratory Exam
Cardiovascular Exam
Neurological Exam

3. Urine Dipstick
Glucose

Blood Examination-requires a lab

1. Full Blood Examination
-Blood count

2. Urea and electrolytes
-Blood and urine

3. Blood serology
-Antibodies, antigens, infections etc.

I have done my body check up for academic purpose (postgrad) in one of the clinic in Ampang. They have blood test, urine test and also xray. The blood test is kinda expensive coz I check hepatitis A & B, HIV, Malaria, n etc. Total everything is RM210.

A FULL FULL medical checkup will cost you a bomb.

For a chest x-ray, urine FEME, Urine DRUG test and a physical examination. I was quoted rm120 in a clinic in PJ old town.

I think the best check up will be in the hospital rather than BP lab or path lab for a more standardize one .

If u just want to know the normal one, blood test will do. there are some test requires ultrasound and x-ray.

doing it yearly will save u from any medical cost in the future especially cancer.

sorry, for bringing up an old thread.
I was wondering how much would a body check up costs for people who were diagnosed with high blood pressure?

Hi Guys,

Is there any place to recommend on full body medical checkup?
I know most major hospitals have it but jsut wondering which one is good?
SJMC i heard is quite good but the fees is very very expensive?
Perhaps, would you mind to share any places that you have been to conduct a full checkup?

Many thanks
