Hi Guys,

Is there any place to recommend on full body medical checkup?
I know most major hospitals have it but jsut wondering which one is good?
SJMC i heard is quite good but the fees is very very expensive?
Perhaps, would you mind to share any places that you have been to conduct a full checkup?

Many thanks

before i started working, they sent me to the hospital opposite pizzahut in TTDI.
- check eyesight
- check weight (say i overweight lah... as usual rolleyes.gif )
- check urine (to see if i'm a drug addict ??)
- x-ray

and that's all i can remember. Definately didn't check blood, cos checking blood is
expensive. Not sure bout the rates tho for the checkup cos company paid.

it is depending on the age and the pre-morbid condition u have, eg hypertension, diabetes mellitus.. etc

but normally it consists of blood test like full blood count, lipids, blood sugar, liver/renal function test.. urine sample.. then for heart maybe ECG, stress test.. etc

for women.. maybe pap smear.. etc

it comes in package and different prices...

i reckon most labs do tests e.g blood and urine, which is sufficient on the surface to check for any abnormalities...
i did mine in Australia in those drug labs e.g Pathlab (they are like an external unit from the hospitals that does all this checks). Msia have Pathlab too i think. Not too expensive. Blood + urine is AUD40.
but i dun think it's expensive either in msia.
i thought some of the insurances include for body check ups annually?

The really "full body" checkup includes not only blood, urine, and X-ray but also the doctor sticking his finger up ur @$$hole to check your prostate, and running on a threadmill to check your heartbeat rate.

Does the insurance policy in Australia cover annual medical check-up cost?

i guess yearly check up is good for everybody.

try look out for pantai's promotions for full body check up. i find them very professional and trust-worthy. hehehehe... clinics normally will charge extra for the service.

other than tat, can try pathlab too.
