Honestly I'll just stick to Binance / Coinbase / Luno

These new exchanges don't have liquidity and can escape with your money anytime

FTX was also licensed and regulated by Singapore Temasek

If the authorities don't use multisig with these exchanges, regulation is just a piece of paper for tax

1 angry employee can transfer everything out and what can anybody do ?

We are regulated and actively supervised by the Securities Commission Malaysia & the Labuan Financial Services Authority.

I don't trust Labuan FSA.

How to check if they are really regulated by SC?

It is weird that SC would allow USD/USDt pair?

I don't think Hata has a MYR (fiat ringgit) wallet for USDT trading.

BNM and SC won't allow it.

If so, a lot of Malaysians will park their ever-weakening ringgit there to hedge against inflation and ringgit weakness, making the ringgit even weaker.

Regulated exchanges like Luno, Sinegy, MX Global and Tokenize all don't support USD stablecoins like USDT and USDC.

There is no MYR/USDT pair..

But if we access what they have for now, it's USDT/USD

I actually haven't activate an account

Depending on their exchange rate, maybe we can transfer USDT to them, and then convert to MYR

They might limit USDT wallet, like how you said does seems it's the case. Like you know wise card, we can hold USD in it, but in Malaysia, the limit is so low.. only RM20k total balance on the entire account. So similar thing might be in play with USDT.

All these limits, and still MYR drowning lol. Apa kejadah ntah.

Anyway, the launch is not official yet it seems, so maybe they'll remove it and only have what other minor exchanges offers in Malaysia

Coinbase support Malaysia users and support deposit/withdraw of usdc to usd?

Last I checked, we aren't supported so all mainly getting scalped kao2 by binance p2p where the usdt rate is much higher than it is if you just convert myr to fiat USD. P2p usdt rate is 4.78 while fiat USD is 4.73.

LOL dont give wrong information, FTX was not licensed and regulated by Singapore Temasek.

Temasek is just an investor of FTX.

I've tried out the platform recently and here's my comments on its pros and cons so far.

Pros:
1. Fees are considered cheap for a regulated platform - (Bank transfer for MYR deposit is free, USD deposit is free, instant buy/sell with MYR is 1% compared to Luno's 2%, maker fee on exchange is 0% for every tier - based on their fee page) Can save alot on fees if you know your stuff and play your cards right.
2. Got 2 accounts on the platform itself (Malaysia and Global) - can easily transfer crypto to my own account for free and sell it for MYR or USDT. MYR can be used to buy 11 different cryptocurrencies while USDT can be used to buy 30+ types of cryptocurrencies...
3. Both website and app feels lightweight and smooth when navigating.

Cons:
1. Seems like they are still in beta mode. Website and app is still very barebone-ish. Bugs here and there (expected for a beta app).
2. No orders on exchange means no liquidity. Wouldn't start trading heavily on it until they pour in money and have more people come flooding in first. Also not many pairs on its USD exchange (Only USDT/USD and TKX/USD). Would be amazing if they can add all their 30+ pairs on it.
3. Can only use USD to buy USDT, not other cryptocurrencies. Then again, this is probably because of BNM not allowing it as someone has already mentioned above.

So far, my experience has been positive but its still too early to tell. Probably the SC is governing the MYR side while Labuan on the USD/USDT side. Got potential la but see if they will maintain all the low fees, introduce more cryptocurrency pairs and features in the future.

Hello all.
I do have one question on the HATA Deposit, as the APP currently does not support direct SPX yet, it requires us to perform Bank Transfer, then upload the transfer slip.

My question is, the APP states that Deposit USD, when I am performing the transfer, it will be in MYR, does that mean that HATA will automatically convert the currency?

OR, when I am doing the transfer, I need to do it in terms of USD? This is where I am not sure how to do it.

Thank you.

They send out welcome email which exposed those who were in the waiting list

Bad mistake, especially for a company that is in technology sector who just started

Anyway, will still try them, see how service.. I don't own much crypto anyway

Just wanna transfer USDT and buy memes lol

my review of hata, because luno spread is so shit. imagine selling sol at rm990 lol. I just sign up now and sold 10 sol. they quote it rm1051 minus 1% fee so I received rm1041. I use instant quote because their exchange had no bids though. Sold just now and withdraw rm10k. to my suprise - instant receive to my bank unlike luno where you have to wait whole day

I'll also share something about hata. It could be minor for some but might be a good warning to some.

I went to an event and hata promoted to register with their affiliate code and they would award some btc.

After awhile of not receiving any bonus, I had contacted them and informed about the delay. They told me that I had inserted the wrong code.
So I told them just help me to change or whatnot, not like I had done anything to the account yet. They told me they cant help. Just said since I put wrong code so Im not entitled to bonus.

For such a simple and common mistake, they couldnt or even want to do anything about it. Gave me a serious doubt in the future if more complicated matters happened how are them going to assist? Probably again your fault, nothing we can do.

Is your 10 SOL deposit from luno? since luno spread is 2% and hata is 1%. and the only restriction with hata is Rm250k daily. Did hata ask info about where your fund from etc etc?

because there's no market maker, api is best on luno for now, market maker bot usually run on luno.
and arbitrage is not very profitable due to super high exchange fee & withdrawal fee, thats what causing the big spread between exchanges.

Nope, hata dont ask anything. I transferred from my private wallet. I think prices are similar on both exchanges during us market hours. Otherwise on weekend just use hata, can withdraw instantly. Rm250k is daily limit bro, luno limit is rm300k monthly right? To be safe just withdraw max rm20k per batch

And look at luno quote right now. Rm20 less than hata on sol

Can, why not but please beware the withdrawal fees for BTC-

IF you really wanna cash out- i suggest you sell BTC and buy XRP-

Then transfer XRP TO HATA- coz xrp fees is very very cheaper than transfer BTC

Thanks this is a good suggestion. I wonder why Bitcoin fees are so high compared to other coins. On luno selling fees need to minus around 3.16%, which is very high.

Always good practise to send to personal wallet.. then from personal wallet goes other place/exchange...

dont send exchange to exchange.

as the wallet is not technically yours...

i mean what's the purpose of the wallet? basically all the deposit fund / fund from closed trade will go to the wallet right?

when we say exchange to exchange, it is exchange to exchange direct transfer?

if it is from wallet, then how it works?

If I transfer USDT to HATA Global, and sell my USDT there, is it possible to transfer the USD amount back to HATA Malaysia?

Cannot, because Hata Malaysia does not support USD.

Maybe in future.

Hi guys,

Need your experience sharing.

Did you withdraw large sum continuously from Luno Malaysia / Hata Digital to your Malaysia Bank Account?

Did your bank ask you anything or hold your money?

Luno Malaysia and Hata Digital are both SC regulated, so far I only transfer small sum, but i plan to withdraw large sum like RM 250K each week, i need your experience sharing and advice.

If withdraw small sum like RM 25K each time will take a fairly long time to do so.

Could you possibly share some experience with me please.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello all,
I wanted to deposit funds in HATA however find out that there is no FPX transfer feature in the app. Instead in the deposit section I am shown the Bank Account Information of HATA, and a place to put my Proof of Transfer.

I would like to ask, if the below process correct:
1. Make bank transfer to HATA account (like any other fund transfer)
2. Save the PDF transfer slip
3. Upload on the HATA app
4. Then the deposit will be made

Another thing that confuses me is the [USD Deposit], the fund transfer is done with the currency of MYR, is there any additional steps? Or HATA app will just be converting the amount of MYR into USD term?

Thank you.

A Malaysian regulated crypto exchange like Hata should already have instant MYR bank deposit (online FPX) like Luno.

Imagine you want to buy an asset from the exchange and the market price has increased substantially from your target price because you need to wait two days for your bank deposit to clear and manually credited into your Hata MYR account.

I experienced this type of delay in Luno before they implemented online FPX for instant MYR deposits.

Strange.

There is only one HATA website for Global and Malaysia.

Am I missing something?

BTW, I am a Luno user.

I may want to open a HATA account for diversification.

I suppose eKYC is mandatory, just like Luno.

*
Exactly. He must be a Dato Seri Whale. Normal phlebs banks account daily withdrawal limit only RM50k didn't hear people complain oso.

Btw, anyone manage to withdraw USD from Hata global after depositing USDT? There is no malaysian bank option for mine.

Yes eKYC is mandatory.
Having enabled HATA Malaysia (on the same platform/APP), can do FPX in MYR.

Seema like Hata Global is using RHB to receive USD funds. What if we just open RHB multi currency account and convert RM to USD? It'll be considered an intra-bank transfer after all.

Someone should ask RHB about this

How It Works:

CrossFirE u can bank in to Hata Malaysia (don't use FPX as it costs money), buy any coins in Hata MY exchange, and send to Hata Global.

currently buying any coins in Hata global via Instant Buy/Sell is 0% promo fee. so once u transferred from Hata Malaysia to Hata Global, can sell to USDT and buy any coins u want

seems like if u want to instant sell your XRP, it has to be multiple XRP or more. just take note

for instance, in Luno, if i want to sell my XRP (say I have 420.69 XRP), i can
  1. sell 420 via exchange,
  2. sell 0.69 directly to luno (you can only trade round number XRP in exchange)
you have to adjust accordingly in Hata

Trading/ exchange both is 0%.
I just now didn't a not professional research, ADA price for Hata Global different 0.002 with binance. Not sure is late or what. Bcoz i use binance to analyse n use hata global instant buy/sell 😂

If I want to buy BTC to trade at Binance, I send LTC from HATA and exchange for BTC at Binance,

For hodling, I send LTC from HATA and exchange at NEXO to the coin/token I want.

After finish trading or hodling, I exchange to LTC and send to HATA to cash out.

I tested out XLM send from Hata to my Tangem wallet.

The send fee is 0.01 XLM as you say.

Hata Global and Hata Malaysia are the same platform? or is Hata Malaysia like Luno without stablecoins.

If it is different platform, I don't see any difference compare to sending XRP from any other CEX to Luno to cash out. Is it extra transaction to send XRP from Hata Global to Hata MY?

If it is same platform, then BNM sure ban stablecoins.

Yes, I received their email yesterday.

Basically what they are saying is earning daily interest will be stopped for account balance less than $5K.

That will drive away a lot of existing customers who cannot top-up their accounts to $5K or more.

Maybe this is their rebranding from a lending platform to a wealth-building platform.

For me it does not matter because I put in more than $5K from day one. cool2.gif

If you have a Binance account, I suggest you park your Solana there for a very attractive return on their staking platform.

The yield is more than what NEXO offers.

Summore you have no balance restrictions on Binance, unlike NEXO.

I stake all my SOL there. cool2.gif

Is this right? Hata is cheaper than Luno as a gateway to onramp and offramp?

To on ramp:

MYR > Hata Msia > XLM > Binance > USDT

Off ramp:

XLM > Hata Msia > MYR

This is what I noticed as well. My experience, ~10k is normally instant. But high amount takes longer, some even took 1 hour.

hey anyone can help me, i opened a new hata account today and done all the verification and what not.

Problem is i only have access to the Malaysia Platform, whenever i go to the platform tab, and add the Global platform, after the checkbox "Yes, I understand and Agree" and click confirm, nothing happens, the UI just closes.

The reason i want the global is that i wanna buy USDT with MYR. is that possible? else i have to go XRP i guess but i really hate token exposure for just transfer reasons...

hata global doesn't allow you to buy USDT with MYR (directly that is), you have to buy any of the token that Hata Global + Hata Malaysia supports. BTC, ETH, DOT, etc. buy those coins in Hata Malaysia, then transfer to Hata Global to sell and get USDT

else, you try to send USD to Hata Global, and convert to USDT

No reply from them until now.
Not sure they are busy or what.

Just to confirm Hata MY and Hata Global, is it they keep separate accounting for MY audit?
Or better still is it Hata MY and Hata Global is 1 registered in MY SSM and 1 registered in other country?

Is HATA the cheapest way to buy some USDT using MYR and send it to a BSC wallet? Mind if someone enlighten me?

Cheapest way is probably through Binance P2P

I just found out HATA offers SOL staking at 5.95% locked for 90 days.

Less % if you lock for shorter duration.

Anybody tried?

I've a question.

For airdrops/mined coins which I'd sell for XRP in Binance then transfer to Hata, what kinda issues I'd face and will there be any repercussions?

It is a google form.
My question is, is it every time I deposit I need to do declaration?
What happen if I do not fill in the form?
Is that from being submit is to SC ar?
