it's a 6AT somemore which is very expensive

That transmission recovered all development , production costs in 1990s , every unit is 100 percent profit now. New AUTO box and cvt haven't yet

nissan one is 5AT if not wrong which is a lot cheaper than toyota's 6AT
yes, just 1 gear can cost that much

every increment of gear in conventional auto is very expensive
more public price, can see hyundai...hyundai 4AT vs 6AT price very big difference(i mean gearbox only)

here they know boss will want the cheapest one, will go for manual and they know manual one is cheaper in cost so they release ONLY manual variant
nobody ever demanded they want auto here anyway

That was the price during Covid , maybe now higher
