No money to buy whole pc, so Ayam buy mb and RAM first.
Attached Image

Although an older model, but this one has never been opened before.
Attached Image

Basic antenna, m.2 screws, cable label stickers, 1 sata cable, and hand guides.
Attached Image

Main reason I choose this mb is because of the chipset heatsink. Big and thick.
Attached Image

The regulator heatsink also very impressive, not some cheap plastic cover.
Attached Image

Not going to overclock, so the 2*4+4 auxiliary power seems excessive for a 65w tdp cpu that I'm gonna install.
Attached Image

Although I don't plan to use m.2, but I'm glad that the 2nd slot is not directly behind gpu.
Attached Image

6 fan ports including cpu, but I'm not going to install casing fans at all.
Attached Image

Standard 2*usb2.0, 1 usb3.0/3.2, 1type c.
Attached Image

4*sata, think I'm going to buy 1 4tb SSD.
Attached Image

Slightly better audio.
Attached Image

2argb, but not going to use it.
Attached Image

All heatsinks are screwed in instead of flimsy plastic clips.

The reason I choose this over the mortar wifi II is because it's slightly cheaper with just less 1 m.2 that I'm not going to use anyway.

Damage below 1400

Difference between B760m mortar wifi and B760m mortar wifi ii
Copilot
The MSI MAG B760M MORTAR WIFI II is an updated version of the original B760M MORTAR WIFI motherboard. Here are some key differences:

Support for Latest Processors: The B760M MORTAR WIFI II supports Intel® 14th/13th/12th Gen processors, while the original may not support the latest generations1.
Memory Compatibility: The B760M MORTAR WIFI II supports DDR5 memory up to 7800+ (OC) MHz, which is higher than the original version1.
Power Design: It features a 12+1+1 Duet Rail Power System with 75A SPS, providing a robust power delivery for high-performance CPUs1.
PCIe 5.0 Slot: The newer version includes a PCIe 5.0 slot, offering higher bandwidth for the latest GPUs and SSDs1.
Thermal Solutions: The B760M MORTAR WIFI II comes with an extended heatsink design, M.2 Shield Frozr, and higher quality thermal pads for better cooling performance1.
These enhancements make the B760M MORTAR WIFI II a more future-proof option, especially if you’re planning to use the latest hardware components. For detailed specifications, it’s always best to check the manufacturer’s official product pages or user manuals

PC hardware only get outdated and cheaper (same model)
But your money can grow little by little..

Example :

BUY PC not PARTS

You buy mobo alone can do what other than collecting dust?

As long as the parts are IMCOMPLETE

You actually can DO NOTHING. but money still spent.

Save the money somewhere. when got enough, buy A FUNCTIONAL PC in 1 go

Last year, Uncle took the courage and re-built/upgrade my desktop after using notebook for couple of years. I burned my older gen mobo, I plugged the GPU's power into the CPU's power socket on the mobo.... end up buying new mobo to amend my dumb mistake. sigh.....

You don't suck at it. You mouth is very moist. It might damage the electronic components.

Most people who are not good at it is simply they don't have enough interest in this. Computer is initially marketed to be user friendly to begin with. I've seen 6 years old child assemble pc before. If you really like to do it, I'm sure it will be easy after some youtube videos.

Can, just that initially only has 13th gen. If you visit cpu compatibility page of the mb, it listed 14th Gen as well.

I'm not going to use nvme. Also not going to install casing fans.

Prevents Overheating: Proper cooling ensures that the chipset does not overheat, which can lead to thermal throttling or reduced performance.

Stable Operation: Maintaining a cool chipset helps in keeping the operation stable, avoiding unexpected crashes or system instability.

Increases Component Longevity: Cooler temperatures can extend the lifespan of the chipset and other nearby components by reducing the stress caused by heat.

Protects Other Components: By keeping the chipset cool, you also protect other components from the potential heat spill-over, which could otherwise affect their performance and longevity.

Supports Overclocking: If you’re interested in overclocking, a cool chipset is essential as it allows for higher performance without the risk of overheating.

Even though modern chipsets are designed to operate efficiently with minimal cooling, ensuring they have adequate cooling can enhance the system’s performance and reliability over time. It’s a small investment that can have a significant impact on your computer’s health and efficiency

The components I have choosen are already in the market for sometime. Their defact rate, although I don't have any official records, is quite low in my own experience. Also, I have other pc parts that I can use to test it first.

If true also, announce only. Not release. Usually won't be at this time. I suspect they might release close to rtx5000 announce if release this year.

If true also, announce only. Not release. Usually won't be at this time. I suspect they might release close to rtx5000 announce if release this year.

The reason I choose this over the mortar wifi II is because it's slightly cheaper with just less 1 m.2 that I'm not going to use anyway.

Instead of doing this, better to save up money bit by bit. Parts get cheaper over time, you're just paying more by buying early unless special sales

Lol console also never ending upgrade also ma. After PS5 then is PS6 and game exclusive to PS6 only. Console cheaper but games expensive. Plus missing out gameplay using mouse and keyboard...and PC MASTERACEEEE
*
PS console upgrade gen to another gen would last you 5 - 6 years without worry whether can run the game or not, that if you don't chase after normal, slim and pro version. but PC... every year also upgrade, especially processor and GC. 1 powderful GC would cost you RM3k to 4k++, which i can buy PS5 + some extra cash on hand or possible PSVR2.

but after years of milking by sony, i aim for pro version only... game wise, just wait for cheap 2nd hand or PSN sales... no hurry to buy new game on day 1, i wont have time to play everyday anyway.

but 1 thing i wont deny that a powerful processor and GC + high performance ram + PCIe 4.0 NVMe M2 SSD possible to output higher screen resolution + refresh rate, which current gen console failed to achieve.

as an ex-PC master race, i do missing the days i used to play my favorite FPS with mouse and keyboard, especially HALO. but with my shitty GC (nvidia 760 Ti), i have my regret that i still not able to play Halo 2, 3, 4, 5 doh.gif

The mb is eol. Later might not be able to get. I can buy 1 shot now, but I want to drag it out so that I won't have a big hole in my account in case got emergency.

The upgrade frequency is on you. I'm still on my 4770 and gtx1080. Still maxing the settings on the games I'm playing.

No. This is a gaming PC. Given the pattern of new releases of games in half-baked and anti-consumer trend, only very selective new games will be bought by me. This new PC will still mainly be running my Fallout 4 and Homeworld series. Also, given my current 4770 build that lasted for so long, I don't foresee further upgrade in near future after this new build. Perhaps, this might even be my last PC.
It is true that new components will obsolete the previous releases in faster and faster frequency. However, given the applications, mainly games, that have not caught up to fully utilize the full potential of current hardware, upgrading for the sake of upgrading is not a desire I indulge in.

Why Malaysia cannot buy? If available, this will be my choice. Just slightly more expensive than 14400f.

I tested the RAM and Mb. No need update BIOS already can POST. I run the RAM with XMP disabled. Fan speed maxed.

No difference in gaming, think I'll choose 14400f, temperature lower and cheaper.
