can any of the m4 ipad owner verify that if your battery is fully charged or limited to 80%, after that can you use ipad plugged in to fully draw power from adaptor itself?

not sure how to check this, I set my ipad to 80% charge limit and have it connected to a dock all the time, and so far battery life is still 100% according to the system.

It seems like Apple has delayed the release of the next iPad Pro by more than a year, with the M4 chip introduced in May last year.

There's still a possibility for M5 ipad pro to be announced in Oct

If no design change, just upgrade to m5 also no pt. Current m4 on iPad Pro is considered very overkilled one liao.

I don’t believe Apple will make a significant design change to the next iPad Pro. They will put m5 and increase ram from 8 to 12 to follow iphone

that’s why I said even upgraded not many will buy also. M series iPad Pro was so powerful and overkilled. Even use fo the same no of years like Mac also no issue.

the upgrade to M5 is welcomed if the performance upgrade is noticeable. while the m4 is very powerful, it sometimes gets a a short freeze, probably loading shader cache when i'm playing games or the fps dips below 120hz, causing visual stuttering. i'd like to have a completely lag free experience given the price of this tablet

Question is that if they really upgraded it, will existing m4 iPad Pro users upgrade or not, which I doubt so.

I might consider upgrading for one, if they increased the memory from 8GB to 12GB and the price remains the same, it's even more compelling to do so.
