The Arctic Fuse (AF) features and options kinda overwhelming ngl, but if you choose the simplest one it will make so much sense and yes the settings workflow is pretty much simpler than Arctic Horizon 2.(AH2)

Since AF is all about "minimalist row based skin". I chose "combined" layout style to differentiate it from AH2



So no stacked widgets, widget groups or even spotlight. The widget will be all in horizontal row. Simple and No confusion if you setup kodi for simpletons like aging parent or children or just your guest i.e airbnb.

Of coz there are more complicated layout styles to suit your need in the Setup Wizard.



Here are some essential settings you probably want to change if your box can handle.







It has something similar to AH2 which is hub but i never used them before, the default menu immediately after loaded:-

Imagine you just came back from work and on your TV, Immediately you can see these in "Discover"

1. What's on the TV now for all TV channels that you last watched
2. Your trakt episodes availabe to watch now.
3. Trending TV Show now
4. Trending Movies now
5. Or just your music last played
6. Of just listen to your favorite radio station

Note: The title of each menu could be custom to suit your need. My advice is get a bluetooth keyboard or connect your pc keyboard to your box when setting up if you do not want to hurt your thumb pressing the remote.

OK Now Since Lowyat placed kodi discussion under IPTV, then we shall put IPTV as priority for kodi meaning people use kodi to watch live TV first then move to Not live TV Show, then movies, then music, then game and so on if nothing good available in each tier.

IPTV

EPG is the quintessential for making each and every single tv channel thumbnail fanart alive and dynamic according to what is on the tv in that very moment aligned with the tv guide without your intervention. You can add any m3u playlist available into your IPTV but if the provider doesn't supply correct tvg-id matched with the EPG, your IPTV pretty much incomplete.

You only need to add playlists shown in the above video in IPTV merge. One for TV and another one for radio. That's all.

which vpn you use for elementum? try a free one, but it a bit slow.
can you suggest better one.

Some channels not working well for me. Channels play perfectly for around 30 seconds and then close suddenly. I watch mostly documentary channels like Discovery, Love Nature, etc. Local channels like TV3 and Awani works fine though. Anyone else have the same issue?

Yes, it happens when watch on Kodi. Just use other iptv apps, no issue.

Arctic Fuse Mod is better than Arctic Fuse 2

If you love AF1 but you want it as fast as AF2, without sacrificing a lot of AF1 features, then here is a new skin with more features but optimized like AF2

The most obvious feature is the info line tags just like AF2

Ok here's a thing about Jurial Munkey skins, he wanted everything to be beautiful and matches his arctic skins, so he created an addon that gathers all movies and tvshows database and display them nicely BUT, to keep it within legal mean, the addon doesnt carry any actual movie or tvshow files. The addon is TMDB

So how to make use of TMBD to connect to the real file sharing site like torrent, you need addon like elementum. While elementum has its own database and playlist, they're not as "nice" or work like TMDB. Now you need a helper to link them both. Thats when TMBD helper comes in.

The Dev just implemented my request for universal asian font like Thai few hours ago.





Please switch to NotoUniversal so your IPTV* EPGs in asian characters are readable.

*IPTV has been heavily revamped with proper m3u8 supporting HLS protocol. Most channels can be watched without disconnection now.

My Nvidia Shield 2017 low storage issue has become critical, and I'm not that android savvy to root the device and use adb method to delete the files that have accumulated over the years, reducing the available space to less than 1GB. No conventional methods of deleting cache and thumbnails will solve this. Some people mentioned that older Shields have a WiFi log called supplicant.log or wpa_supplicant.log that can bloat up to 9GB, and you can't even search these files with any file explorers. Nvidia Dev has recently updated the Shield with a hotfix that allows users to choose whether to log or not. However, the fix did not delete the existing files, causing them to grow larger with everyday use. This is crucial since Kodi will keep crashing when streaming media due to a lack of space. After reading some forum discussions:

Solution 1 : Factory reset
Solution 2 : Root shield> adb wireless/ usb wired to PC/ find the file with terminal (learn some linux commands like sudo etc

Anyway i attempted #2 half way and forgotten that the device need to be rooted. According to some people who was succesful with solution 2 took 10 hours to delete the 9GB file.

So nope today i factory reset my shield and solved the problem. Now it has almost 10GB of space after brand new Kodi installed.

Now that my beautiful setup is gone, and I'm back to square one. Some long-forgotten issues have resurfaced as I try to restore that perfect setup. Here are some tips I want to share for those who want to achieve the same or are new to Kodi. Trust me, I will use this post as a reference too when I face issues myself.

1. Kodi installation

Get Kodi 22 Piers (unreleased but this is worth it cause Kodi 22 can play mpd with clearkey support which will make your Tivimate and OTT players obsolete apps, ready to be uninstalled and forgotten) Now with Kodi 22 watching assteruk is just like how it meant to be with no delay, no disconection, in high definition, surround sound, directly from it source and not via 3rd party server like right now.

When Kodi 22 officially released later just overwrite like usual no issue. Kodi script will take care of everything.

2. Issue able to access network but files invisible

After installing and beginning the setup process, you might notice that the addon zip files you wanted to install are not visible on the network. For example, while your Shield can access the directories on your PC, they appear empty. Do NOT meddle with any Kodi network settings like SMB, NFS, or anything that forum users might suggest. Stop right there. The issue lies with your Shield/Android device:

Find this setting in your device > app > and set permission to kodi ALLOW ALL THE TIME


3. Addons installation Issues

Just when you thought all the zips file now are visible, you will face installation fail due to some dependencies requirement are not met. No worry the culprit is this:-

Not just you have to toggle to unknown sources but also you have to set "Update official addon from" to "ANY REPOSITORIES" in system settings


4. Skin Installation

To install the Arctic Fuse Mod, which I highly recommend, you need to follow these steps to avoid failure due to dependencies from the original Arctic Fuse skin. First, install AF2 from the Jurialmunkey repo . Once AF2 is successfully installed, you can then proceed to install the AF Mod without any issues.

5. TMDBhelper Issues

TMDBhelper is a Jurialmunkey addon that compiles a beautiful database of movies and TV shows, complete with posters, wall art, fan art, wikis, and more. It integrates seamlessly with all of Jurialmunkey's skins, like the Arctic series and AF Mod. However, the database does not include actual sources. To play the content, you need a third-party player. For high quality, high-resolution video with multichannel surround sound, I recommend Elementum, which is torrent-based.

You can always try and mount a USB drive for your shield if you have storage issue and transfer all apps to the external drive

wpa_supplicant.log is part of the shield OS not apps, cannot be accessed without rooting. The hotfix can only be seen in developer menu giving user an option to log or not. But no option to clear the log.



Older shield will log this everyday and growing bigger. Even after you delete all the apps this file still there.

TLDR:-

#KODIPROP created by KODI Developer thus the name KODI
#KODIPROP header is still being used by all streaming service today including Netflix, Hulu, even Astro
And they still hate KODI, Youtube even ban KODI content.

I suggest dont use youtube addon in kodi other than to watch trailer in AF mod skin. For Android just use smartube app which is way better handling and removing youtube ads than kodi.

Anyways before the DEV solved that sign in issue etc, i suggest use Youtube trailer addon from slyguy repo.

If you have iptvmerge already you should have this repo. thing is the Youtube trailer addon is hidden within another repo in his repo.



Install that repo 1st than install youtube trailer addon



This will replace the youtube addon and play your trailer like it used to do.

Meanwhile, I have updated the iptv playlist for kodi 22, and included some recently assteruk discontinued channels like wwe, and warna to be streamed again from new sources.

So exclusive for Kodi user, you can have these channels again. sorta

The Arctic Fuse Mod have few ways to navigate and browse channels, you can either browse the EPG and click one by one and play without closing the epg or while watching you can also browse other channel and stay with the current channel. Here's how

1. Click once it brings up the OSD
2. Click arrow down it shows what's next and previous show not just text but image on the channel u watching
3. Click down one more time, it will bring up other group and list all the channel in that group with what program currectly playing with image.

Added Phillippines Channels

I found out that Kodi use its Recording utility to manage video on demand or VOD. While it does provide the PVR functions to save and timeshift etc but the actual recording must use other addon which until today i couldnt find any.

Meanwhile, the recording utility manages any m3u list that has been specified with parameter media=true as VOD

Here's how you can try.

Get the source from github and add it into your IPTVmerge. You will get this

The media will go directly into "recording" you can browse and play them just like any VOD

Since the souce has more than 3000+ movies you need to create another widget to view by group else everything will be dumped in one place and will take time to browse. Name it to VOD if u like (this is for AFMOD skin) Not required if you use Estuary.

To access to the movie, DONT just click but Click & Hold to bring up Browse Into menu dialog. Click that to access the group by language. Again this is for AFmod skin only. You dont have to this for estuary.

Surpisingly fanart, wallart, synopsis, multiple audios and subtitles are supported.

Slyguy Youtube AutoTrailer is not supported currently for this VOD but working fine on others.

So now the long holiday can be fully utilized since dramacool in down this will be the alternative.

If you already mistakendly did, just download the JAN 27 version and overwrite it.

Assteruk did it again by discontinuing more channels, lets bring them back and add more.



After i feedback the Dev, as of update Feb 3 kodi 22 now it's IPTV-safe you can download and use the lastest version. Once that done you may want to update Youtube for Trailer else error.

Note: While Kodi 22 is very stable on windows, it still occasionally crash on android but getting lesser if you use the latest version. Granted they're still under development. Hopefully everything will be ironed out for the release candidate. At anytime your IPTV fails, i mean all the sudden all channels are not working after you meddled with something, just reinstall Kodi with the similar version you're having.

Newbie here, previously only using stremio. Want to try Kodi bcs of the iptv, yesterday manage to install the apk through google play store on mi box s, but after reading your recommendation to install the v22, I uninstalled the v21 and download the v22 from kodi.com nightlies build. Download successfully but error during installation. Any idea why this happen?

The lastest build quite stable (feb 5 version) make sure you choose the correct apk for your android device.

Still unsuccessful. Mi box S is 64bit. I tried both arm8a and arm7 same result. Thought maybe the box might have issues with installing new 3rd party app or apk directly, but then I manage to install other apk such as tivimate etc. quite weird. Never happened this issue.

It supports Kodi v21.5, perhaps you can just install the one in play store. Kodi developers are very active on updating their app like almost every day (you can see how active they're releasing updates on their nightlies page)

Perhaps they already updated Kodi v21 to support the drm-legacy. The last time i used kodi version 21 was December, i found some of the channels didnt work until i used kodi22. Maybe you have the luck this time coz the playlist i configured is using simple drm_legacy and not the advanced drm property

But Kodi is not like any IPTV or VOD app like TVbox that you can click and play, you need to set it up to your liking. Especially the skin. It has it's own functions and program. And it will be very extensive at time. Then there are addons.

Originally Kodi is just a media player that manages your own media collection like movies, TVshow, digital tv, Music for people who has terabytes of space in their NAS. But then most people do not have them. So that's when addons come in. Plethora of them. Just install what u need. games, music, concerts, p0rn, hentai, live cam, etc. But before all that get the skin 1st.

Try to use the google play store version of Kodi, stuck at this step:

After tick the unknown source and update from “Any repositories”, I go file manager to add source and follow the input. After click ok, this pop up:




Click yes, go back to add on, try to install from zip file, nothing happen, its unclickable.

The Developer has fixed Arctic Fuse Mod skin on VODs, now you're no longer need to "click and hold" to bring up "browse into" menu dialogue but instead just click to browse the movies:-

Note : Tagalog is Philippines movies category which usually x-rated, not recommended to watch them with family!



If the subtitle is not showing, just toggle between languages them few times and wait. It will eventually be displaying.

For premium assteruk channels like Ria, Prima, Citra, AEC, Quanjia, Vinmeen, Thangathirai, Arena Bola 1&2, Premier League 1&2, Grandstand, assteruk implements token changing protocol 3 times a day which is crazy to keep up.

if it stalls, after few seconds streaming, click to go to audio settings (speaker icon), then just toggle or click "Allow passthrough" radio button off and on. The stream will resume. (No other solution yet)

Update March 1

+ That's the new splash screen for Kodi 22, glorifying all the developers names on it. Dunno who's the guy inside the logo. Overall looks better than stupid Omega
- As of march 1, assteruk already stopped full HD stream to windows device, instead limit to 720p only for all their channels. FHD streams are still good on android.
- That said if you're using Kodi for windows even OTT navigator with android emulator on windows, you could no longer received full HD channel.

Update April 27

+ Implemented new common header, so Full HD (1080p) channels are now streamable on all platforms including windows. No separate playlist is needed.
+ Only with Kodi you can watch Astrosports UHD and Love Nature in 4K with sound.

Been using the aseanic.github.io/tv on my Sony TV for couple months now. But lately, the playlist just doesn't load anymore.

I tried to troubleshoot with the limited knowledge that I have, this is what I noticed in the logs:

error <general>: AddOnLog: pvr.iptvsimple: pvr.iptvsimple - LoadPlayList - Unable to load channels or media from file 'https://aseanic.github.io:tv'

Any ideas what went wrong?

One idiot in Github instead of fork he created a Python program to automatically convert Kodi format playlists that i meticulously curated back to OTT. While I wouldn’t have minded if it was done locally, he published it on his GitHub without removing the headers indicating it's for Kodi 22, which only adds confusion for other Kodi users. If a Kodi user tries to use the converted playlist, the streams won’t work.

To make matters worse, he stripped all my M3U8 links down to their HLS source, which is a poor decision because without the M3U8 format, the channel won’t stream continuously. It will stop after few seconds.

As a result, I had to take it down until he removes his stupid program.

On another note, Assteruk has already reverted three channels—Prima, AEC, and Vaanavil—back to a token-based system that changes daily. These channels won’t receive updates or stream in Full HD.

Assteruk did it again, 4 channels were discontinued recently including the classic Animal Planet!



Nevermind we got that covered, lets bring them all back.

Note: Assteruk also re-implementing that daily token switching to protect their channels plus swapping few in that bunch. We got that covered too as long you dont pandai-pandai create your own playlist other than the one provided in the previous post. Else some channels may not work. Another thing certain channels may require you to toggle "Allow Passthrough" off/on if it stucks. That's all.

Sorry to trouble again, I've been able to load all the channels, but mostly it said failed playback especially on the sports and Chinese channel.. Is there something I haven't install or miss out some during installation?

Assteruk is changing their token every 6 hours nowadays. so i suggest runmerge everytime that happens


Create a Run Merge shortcut button for easy access somewhere i.e:-



run it if the channel unable to stream perhaps due to old token.


Next, if the widget is empty, go to myaddon>IPTV Simple Client>toggle disable>enable



Some bugs that the client disabled itself perhaps the merged data is big >100MB due to huge playlists especially with EPG and 3K+ VODs

Another thing, Assteruk only change token for 8 channels which are RIA, Prima, AEC, Bola1, Bola2, Badminton, Grandstand & Cricket. Other channels are not affected and could be streamed if you installed right Kodi 22 from here:-

Hmm, you can just install Kodi 22 on top of the existing kodi 21 that already installed. Not need to delete or uninstall anything. All your settings and skin will be as it is.

Sifu, I tried downloading the APK files dated 13 May 2025 and 20 Jun 2025, but both gave me an "App not installed" error. I'm currently using Kodi 21 from the Play Store, but since version 21 can't play the IPTV, I was hoping the APK would help.

Kodi already updated Simple IPTV Client (21.11) to work with Omega (Kodi 21.2) the one in the store.



I'm back to install Kodi 21 Omega since Kodi 22 Pier after august update give a lot of issues:-

1. Frequent Black screen when play movie and tv, on both Windows and android
2. HDR washed out screen.
3. Fullscreen black screen on windows

If you face similar issues just overwrite your existing Kodi 22 with Kodi 21.2 from the app store or directly download
