My understanding, University Students are entitled to get a copy FREE for Microsoft Products.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/education/products/office

You may need to contact your university.

for college/uni's that subscribed to MS's service, you can get it for free from the link above, not all college/unis do this

for primary/secondary school

if you have a very early @yes.my Frog VLE account, that has a license, but only the really early ones
unfortunately the @moe-dl.edu.my one does not come with an office license

I dont think there is any discounted price available
for free alternatives, I like OnlyOffice and SoftMaker FreeOffice

If you're a student, you can snag Microsoft Office at a discount through the official Microsoft Store for Education or your university's student discounts. They often have sweet deals on Office 365 or Office 2021.

Thanks to all.

I have used MS Office for some years. Using WPS Office but find it not as nice, smooth as MS Office.

I think for Malaysian public university, they have switched fully to 365. Need to login with student id.

A couple years back, it's different. Student get free copies of Office 2016 and such, and Windows 10 and such. I even got myself a Windows Server license just because it's free. There are other products for free as well.

Things have changed.

For light duty, the free web version is more than sufficient.

Try to adapt to wps or similar. Most company in china has adopted it as their main app now
