Good tip will try. Mine is always on and sometimes the dashcam will auto off cause of over heating.

btw battery kaput can DIY change quite easy

my settings i just use the highest resolution video. btw turn off wifi function (i find that this greatly reduces the heat, otherwise it gets hot until can fry egg on it). Only turn on wifi function if needed, e.g. update software or sync with phone app.

if you dont mind, upload to youtube or some other video hosting site the original video then only i can judge whether your dashcam video is normal or got anything wrong.

btw, you view the video on PC after taking out microSD card or directly from dashcam/phone?

A810 also same even though it has huge heatsink inside,  overheat until it freeze, BTW I already turned off HDR and also WIFI. My Viofo dashcam temperature doesn't reach that high

Chose ddpai because of capacitor actually. Rather not have to go out of my way to always park in the shade.

Actually long drives also the dashcam will heat up as exposed to sun directly.

bruh........... it's not about the resolution, it's about the type of lens  they use. ( or image sensor some call it now)

go check out the different type of sensor they have in each range and brand,

different type of aperture is what determine how clear and sharp is it even at night.

u can have a 720p sharp n clear field of view dashdam  at night.

saying purely.. resolution is false info..

My ddpai when hot day parking, come out error overheat.
Take about 5 mins of driving with aircond to cool it down.

My advice, get 2 from different brands. Jus in case one gets error.
