go check out the different type of sensor they have in each range and brand,
different type of aperture is what determine how clear and sharp is it even at night.
u can have a 720p sharp n clear field of view dashdam at night.
saying purely.. resolution is false info..
the more correct is aperture
but that's on camera...so unless you're using camera as dashcam, it's hard to "adjust"
in the dashcam world, sadly...the higher the resolution, the better the lens and aperture they use which translate to better night time video
u will never find a dashcam that is recording at 720p that looks clear at night...even the 1080p dashcam is doing pretty bad for night time video
