Dear All,

This happened to my friend's husband. not from fwd email

Dear Friends,

My husband just got his Honda Civic 2.0 hijacked yesterday at abt 9pm in Kesas Highway near Summit.

There were 3 of them.....Indians (1 tall/skinny and the other 2 are quite fat). They hit my husband's car from the back and both cars stopped at the side to inspect the damaged.

When my husband was negotiating with the driver on the settlement, two of his alliance hit my husband's head from the back and on instinct, my husband threw a punch on the driver's face. They punched my husband a few times before pushing him on the divider and snatch the key frm him.

It all happened so fast and he didn't manage to get the full no plate of the car. It was a Toyota Vios BJH 5???. So, pls be extra careful when travelling alone especially at the following areas : Klang, Puchong, Subang Jaya. Police has already given us advise not to align from your car if an accident happens. Get the car no plate and immediately go to the nearest police station.

oh no im having a civic 2.0 too....... cry.gif
btw....most likely the plate is false......but definitely if accident....if possible dont stop unless its serious damage or car cant move, which usually they wont hit so hard coz they need to steal a car that is in decent condition to sell.
also be alert when driving, some might already follow u from a distance.....so be aware of your surroundings, my uncle's camry got hit also but he drove away coz he suspected ppl tailing him for quite some time.

popular cars become popular targets as well.....sigh
so at times like this....consider bad luck la....pay for ur own repairs rather than car gone.
for those who drive fiat, ford etc.....feel safe....less popular target for car thieves.

That not the first time such carjack incident happened. If ur car got banged from the rear, and u see there a group of man (mainly indians, sorry to offend but that what really happened recently), just drive off the car and proceed to the nearest police station.

Another carjacking case. All kinds of tricks on their sleeves.. So irresponsible. So irritating. Causing lots of troubles to our country. I just dont know why such things keep happening. Probably, the Vios is also a theft car.

then both of u can discuss in Police station or report together since he/she hit your car and not your false (you won't need to pay anything)...
if not, when you reach police station, he won't follow you anymore... tongue.gif

if you can see he hit you on purpose...don't get out of the car trying to get him to pay the damage. Just ram his car and drive away...dun think, just ram. That's the safest method.

It happened on the NKVE highway, near the Sungai Buluh exit.
The carjackers slashed my colleague with a parang and thank goodness he survived!

proton saga stolen to be used to bang another car and steal more expensive ones, haha....or they strip it for parts......or sell
but usually luxury ones are sold rather strip

if driver come out wanna settle....just shout at him....follow me to polis station and drive off.....its a risk man......compared to the chance of gaining the payment and risk of losing ur car......i'll just drive off to the polis station and get the number plate and car if possible before leaving.

dont forget.....bang bumper etc at most lights pecah cost u 2k at max....lost vehicle u dont get full claim....thats already few k losses on top of losing ur ride

new civic and new camry......high profile targets for thieves.....much wanted vehicles.
i also scared since i have the new civic...omg cry.gif

Moral of the story... Don't DRIVE NEW Cars with LONG WAITING LISTS or HOT in the MARKET...

Eg. LATEST HONDA CRV, Toyota Camry, Harrier, Honda Accord (3 cases of Carjacked all my Sister colleagues), Toyota Vios (NEW), ANY NEW MERCEDES...

If you WANT to own... Wait for AT LEAST 3 yrs. Eg. Current Toyota Altis...

Another safer way is is to get the model before the current one. Eg get the previous 2nd generation vios before the current 3rd generation vios, or the 7th gen civic before the current 8th one. tongue.gif

I dont consider u r hit and run when u dash to the nearest police station just for safety reasons, then report to the police on what happended. Perhaps ask that other party which involved in the accident to go to police station as well. But if u see a group of man (esp Indians) inside that car, take extra caution and spread off to the nearest police station, immediately.

whatever u drive....be it old or new models....as long as those are popular cars....even if its old civic, camry or benz....they will still steal coz there's demand....
remember that guy who died at the petrol station? filling up his old benz?
national cars however are also ez targets becoz they dont have sofisticated alarm system...no need to even hijack....just steal and gone.

so either.....u drive ultimately rare cars like fiat, saab, alfa where u seldom see on the road and pay for the depreciation bomb or u risk losing ur popular low depreciation car....sigh

This happened to my dad also..but he was the one that hit the car from the back..

It was at a traffic light, and my dad was very tired as it was puasa month and it was around 6 that time. He fell asleep and his foot slipped off the brake pedal (automatic car) so the car moved forward and hit the waja infront of him. He woke up n quickly got out of the car as the light was still red. There were 2 ladies in the waja but they didn't get out. My dad is 54yo! old man, retiring next year.. they were still scared. my dad went to the windows and said puan, sy terlanggar kereta puan.. kemek tu bumper tu..kreta saya crack sikit..just the bumper lining was cracked..minor damage..n all they said was kalau sikit takpe..but my dad said it was quite bad..when the light turned green, they sped off..their loss..i think to replace n repaint a waja bumper would cost around rm400 rite?..my dad didn't even have time to take down the number plate, otherwise he would've reported it..

Another safer way is is to get the model before the current one. Eg get the previous 2nd generation vios before the current 3rd generation vios, or the 7th gen civic before the current 8th one. tongue.gif

thats y i drive a 13yr old continental.

No offense to Indians, but my fren's Hilux also almost got carjacked at Jusco Tmn Universiti, Skudai. Luckily there was a big group of us n they got scared n ran off. Again, 3 Indians in a Waja. Apparently there are syndicates that target 4x4s... then they r sold to very rural places or deep inside the jungles of east Malaysia where you dun need to renew ur roadtax.

I blame all these to our current govt, which failed to uplift the current standards of hardcore poor Indians. (besides demolishing Hindu temples indiscriminately)

i drive a proton car and very safe now ..

Ok this is gonna dissapoint you. In subang goodyear court apartments, my friends proton wira got stolen from
the parking lot by 3 Indians posing to be mechanics who pretended to take my friend's car to the mechanic shop
under false request by my friend. They used this excuse on the guards at the gate of the apartments and the guards believed them. doh.gif

Good thing is my friend got his car back with minor things like the central locking broken last week. Police say its done by the syndicate trying to sell the car to neighbouring countries but got found out and stopped by the police in time.

No, just becoz you drive proton cars, doesn't mean you are safe.

Vios... hmmm.. One of the top stolen cars in the country.. I wonder why? In fact all it seems like all Toyota cars are commonly reported to be stolen.

Why you think driving a Proton no one wants to steal the car??? It's not that you know..

Added on November 2, 2007, 11:06 amOh yes... I hope I am not out of topic since it's a thread that serves as a warning for our fellow members here. Just be aware of this reckless driver that has almost got me into a rather nasty accident

The driver is a middle aged man. Car is a BMW 318i with number plate of JGA 2727.
