Stardust is good, but personally I prefer The Princess Bride, because I think it has more.... HEART!!! laugh.gif Stardust has cooler effect no doubt but not as much heart.
I haven't seen The Princess Bride in ages, but I remember it couldn't hold a candle to the book.

And similarly, Stardust the book is awesome. The movie sucks ass.

But anyway, Liam Neeson can pawn Matt Damon and Mark Welberg any Bond actor anytime.
Marky Mark can pwn Sean Connery? Pah! laugh.gif

The Relic (1997)

I like Peter Hyams. In 1997, he made this Action/Horror movie.

Went to the cinema to watch it with a group of friends in 1997, and it turned out one of them really REALLY hate watching horror movie, and he went because I asked him to (poor chap)!!

I have never got this on DVD, and yesterday, got a chance to watch it in HD.

Here's what I think.

1)  Mr Hyams, there's these equipments, call LIGHT that you can use to illuminate your sets, so VIEWS CAN SEE WHAT YOU HAD FILMED!!

2)  Mr Hyams, NOT ALL ASIAN ARE A$$HOLES (as portrait-ed in this movie of yours)

It is a blast to see Stan Winston creature effects. JUST WISH THE LIGHTS WAS ON SO WE CAN SEE MORE OF IT!!!!!

Also I think the first time I remember, seeing CGI fire effect, so... effective!! tongue.gif

Apart from the two point I had pointed out, the rest of the movie is okay.

My Two Sen
Heh. I remember this one. It's not really a very good movie, but for some reason I had a blast watching this in the cinema. The whole audience seemed to be in the "mood" for it.

Also, I had two beers before watching it. laugh.gif

Wait, how old are you?
Old enough to be drinking beer when The Relic first came out, obviously. laugh.gif

When I said I couldnt agree with the ending, I was talking about (SPOILERS!!!) how the other sister refused to produce the evidence she found to her parents or the cops. I know she didn't want to because her mom was back and dad had finally learned to let go and she didn't want this to change again, but c'mon, letting a murderer go, that's just wrong.
IIRC, she did produce the evidence. Then the cops raided Stanley Tucci's house, but he'd already fled.

I have always wondered why a second movie was never made.
Because it flopped.

It flopped because it sucked.

The Last AirBender  seems OK for me. Watched it last week.
