 Sintered stone dining table, Dining table

Hi.
Would like to ask your opinion on sintered stone dining table. My concerns are:
1) It looks so thin, if accidentally hit with pot, would it chip/crack easily?

2)A lot of the designs have the base mainly in the middle, leaving the sides hanging. Can it withstand weight of pots/casserole dishes?

3) So many places selling it now, google search revealing some shops selling a 6 seater one for 1k+ , some are 3k +. What is the difference? Different grade of stone? Chairs not included for both.

Does anyone have a recommended shop that we can drop by in Klang Valley?

I always prefer wood one, now a lot of wood slab one look nice

My kids spill stuff all the time. And forget about coasters etc. The wood would get destroyed really fast. We need something really low maintenance. Added to that, the house is very simple and contemporary look. Not many wooden furniture. So to have a nice good looking wood in the dining would be strange.

Sintered stones are quite similar to your quartz stone kitchen top. It's a very strong material. Basically it's stone.

Of course thickness will play a big part on the durability.
