I have a samsung note 10 phone that has got issues with the power button. Basicly, it does not work. The phone works fine; I can turn it on as long as I have a cable and PC.

Sent to samsung and they asked to change the whole moterboard for 600-700. Want to get second opinion, but not sure where. I don't trust the place that I bought from as last time they keep asking for IC for this and that. Perviously used to buy phone at DirectD, but don't know if they are reliable.

Any suggestion for reliable repair shop?

You are not alone. My note 10 power button also has problem, not clickable anymore. Something should has broken behind the button; Thinking send it to SPR repair or just buy new phone later.

Boleh percaya ke? Have you sent there before?

Read the reviews. Although it seems to be good, happen to see quite a few bad reviews (filtered lowest). There was even one guy who said they used his phone to give themselves a review without his consent.

Mine can click, but not responding. Samsung said its a motherboard problem and asked for 600+. Pening kepala now. I usually have never had problems with my phone so I don't have a "trusted" shop yet.

He transplant the button.Tak berani nak buka sendiri. If the phone was on its last leg and a few problems, I might consider opening up myself. But this is only a the power button. Tengoklah macam mana.

since your phone still works, maybe remove the google account first

then after repair add it back

but make sure you remember the password

You are right. I did this when I sent to samsung. Backup and factory reset. But it just didn't occur to me that shops might do this. Don't know what else they might end up doing with the phone. But that is the price of sending it to someone for repair, I suppose.

Had to send my phone for repair once, I just backup with Smart Switch on PC, full factory reset and restore it once they have fixed it.

I doubt that the motherboard needs changing for what seems to be a simple power button fix.
You can buy the flex power cable for your model from online shops and fix it yourself - which is what I did for some old phones of mine. The note 10 back cover isn't glued on like the current phones so its very easy to change the battery and other things like power/volume buttons. The only problem is getting the good quality OEM flex cable which will last a long time, I don't know which online store sells good spare parts and the ones I got weren't the same as the original quality.
